Why do people care so much about MnK and controller now?

I’ve been wondering. When did people started caring about what imput you use? I’ve never seen this discussion come up once in my life beforehand. Apex, Fortnite, Halo, it’s just complaining over nothing.

I might be wrong but I think part of it is the plague of PC elitists who think they’re better than console people. And those people don’t like controllers being viable against keyboard and mouse.

I do find a lot of pc gamers are terribly disrespectful to us lazy console folk!

Because auto aim is broken in Halo Infinite. Stupidly so. Anyone who says it’s about PC elitism is only triggering themselves over arguments they made up in their own head. As if not realizing PC players can use controllers as well.

I just want an option to opt out of playing against those with controllers to see what it’s like to play with people who don’t need a crutch to compensate for aim.

Classic pc elitist to call aim assist “auto aim” and “a crutch”. I’ll turn off aim assist when you shrink your desk space down to a half inch of radial space.

Op the real issue is that most games don’t force cross play between console and pc. It’s almost always opt in. By default it’s usually cross play between consoles and you only enter cross play between console and pc if you intentionally party up with a pc friend

God forbid I use a controller out of personal preference.

Maybe I should start using it to piss off elitists like you.

Because mouse and keyboard isn’t the best option anymore and the nerds who spent a kazillion dollars on their pc built can’t handle it.

Most of us are not necessarily complaining about what peripheral a player uses, but forced Crossplay. I play on Xbox. My concern is about the cheaters on PC that I don’t want to play with.

Because of crossplay. Mnk didn’t know how strong aim assist really was on console and consoles didn’t know that players could actually hit things with a sniper.

I personally think having crossplay is great overall, but I wish I could just turn it off sometimes because some of these close quarter fights with a controller player can feel like they’re cheating at times. Especially in games with aim flinch where the aim assist puts you back on target faster that any human can manually get back on target after being flinched while using Mnk

Not just a concern about cheating on PC but it is a well known fact that no matter how hard these developers try, they cannot equalize the playfield with both, PC M&K will always and have always been able to focus on the head of a person far quicker and easier than a controller player. That’s why this is a thing, look at any youtube vids of PC players with no recoil on an SMG in several games compared to a controller player as one example. I am here because I just had a very frustrating run playing and when I checked the players profiles that kicked my -Yoink!-, they were all PC players. This is BS

A little hypocritical don’t you think?

PC Elitism is an invalid argument, but anyone who uses a controller can’t aim and needs a crutch?

Halo has been primarily played on controller for the entire 20 years of its existence. I’m pretty sure the vast majority (including Halo vets and pros) prefer to play with a controller because that is what they are comfortable with.
