Why do I suck at everything I do?

Why is it that in all the halo games (Halo wars, halo 3, halo reach, halo 4), I can’t beat anyone except for new players and somewhat skilled players.
(Playing skilled players on halo wars frustrates me very much)

just be patience and get full advantage of the map + don’t risk it
and remember practice make you perfect

How much practice would I need? I have been playing for 3 years already and not much has changed.

Look at the bright side you’re better than me, I’ve only been playing halo for 3 months and I get wrecked average only 6 kills a game lol

In about three months, I got into Legendary campaign. Although it’s easier than matchmaking, it improves your skill by a lot.

Ill try that out , I know I got a long way to go to get even decent

I hold my own, now, but I was fairly bad at Halo for a long time. I’m still not phenomenal, but with perseverance and a continued love for the game, my skill has dramatically improved and continues to. It’s a matter of not really caring about things that will frustrate you (K/D, Score, etc.) and simply playing to be a little better every match. Eventually, you’ll see your skill start to improve. Best of luck!

I feel your pain. I found this thread looking for the algorithm containing the secret of life and perpetual motion that must surely make up the skill ranking system that Reach uses. I’ve just started playing Halo a couple of months ago, and even when I filter for skill in team multiplayer I get put with players who just slaughter me. I’ve thrown more than one controller, and I seriously can’t afford to buy more. Love the game, but I’m about to quit it because it just feels impossible to improve enough when nearly everyone has been playing it for years. Thanks for the rec to play Legendary Campaign. I’ll give it a shot.

Just pace yourself and your shots and jump from time to time to hinder your opponent’s aim.

Also in close quarters maps, be really really conscious of the motion sensor. You can crouch often to sneak up on targets or lose them in a chase. In Halo 4 team slayer 4v4 it’s so hilarious and entertaining to combine the hologram with the sprint-then-crouch method. Tricks the same people over and over again.

I used to handle myself decently in H3 back in the day. I wasn’t spectacular our anything but at least I could manage positive numbers in the random match. Then Reach and H4 happened and it seems I got thoroughly noobified, since now I get thoroughly destroyed in H3. :frowning:

In the end, it’s all about practicing and learning. Not letting the defeats get you down.

Just keep practicing, man. That’s all you can do. Watch people play on Twitch and YouTube and practice what they do. I suck too, but I started watching those guys and have gotten some great tips. Try it out!

Try and memorize the maps and practice them on a regular basis. Like everyone else has said practice makes perfect. Don’t let the little things get to u either like k/d, scores, win or lose, lag switchers,/ cheaters etc. Campaign on legendary and playing multiplayer with friends is how I practice.

Play the legendary campaign and practice, practice, practice.

Skirmish Automatic
anyone reached 200

“There’s always a bigger fish”

All this is complete horse -Yoink-. I play with semi pro to pro players since Halo 2 haven’t stopped playing since and I still get freaking wreaked by the noobs. If you have slow Internet you are already down one BR shot and if you don’t play on a monitor then you are down 2 shots.

This game depends so heavily on this stuff that it’s starting to get frustrating to me. I know this because I’ve played with good Internet and a monitor before and I’m better then the friends that I play with. All I hear is practice your BR and your BR is the only weapon you need then I go over to their house on their setup and wreak them.

If you have great Internet and you play on a monitor which I kin of want to take a poll. Then are you paying attention to where your team is at? The only way I go positive is to pick up kills when my team is in a fire fight across the map.

If your running around with out your team your going to die point blank. Idc if your name is Walshy you WILL die. If we’re both shooting the sam guy he dies in 2 shots. If your fifighting 2 people you die it 2 shots but you need 8 to kill them if you don’t miss.

So then using the above if you’re fight two people you have crappy Internet and play on a TV you have just died before even being able to shoot anyone.

i understand how u feel but i dont know what its like, after doing the legendary campaign in any game multiplayer is a breeze

Yeah dude trust me, I have freinds that have been playing a lot longer than I have, and it is very frustrating having them murder me everytime I play with them. However even I have improved since I started playing, and turst me no one sucked more than I did. It also helps to identify your strong points, like one of my freinds is a really good sniper/marksman, the other knows his way around a sword, and I am pretty good with anything that can fly, even if I do say so myself. So if I were you I would experiment with the things you are good with, even if it is as simple as, you are good with a Jet pack, or like me and the only actual guns you can really handle well, is a grenade launcher and an Assault Rifle.

Yes this helps to, only I have only done Reach on legendary alone, and it’s the easist campaign you could do.
