I swear to God I rarely get assassinations, I’ll be on a flat surface with loads of space around both players, go to assassinate them and I just get a beat down! Help!?
I get the same problem. Except in my case I’ll hit them square on the back, holding down the melee button, and I don’t get a beat down nor an assassination. The game treats it like an ordinary melee and then they run away.
What have button is your melee mapped to? Since you have to hold the button, the button you use could make a difference.
I map mine to B, and often times find myself initiating and assassination as expected. Sometimes it’s been a beat down instead, and sometimes I get an assassination when I want to beat down.
Do you perhaps have assassinations disabled in your settings?

Perhaps you disabled them and forgot about it? It could also be a controller issue, I used to have a problem with my LT where it would randomly take me out of ADS.
Edit: whoops I reckon the use of “rarely” indicates that you are sometimes able to get the animation

I think it’s a controller issue yeh, hadn’t thought of changing controller until this so thankyou! And yeah sometimes I do get them and sometimes I don’t so probably an issue with my controller which is a bit weird! I’ll let you know whether it worked!

No I do t have them disabled, think it’s a controller issue like the other guy said but might change my controller settings to see if that helps as well! Thankyou
