Why do I have to pay for Champion Bundle

So I go on my xbox this morning to find that the stupid bundle still costs me money when I have the damn season pass. Why should I have to pay 800 MS Points when I paid for the more expensive version of the game? I’d be spending better money on DLC for DmC: Devil may Cry.

Because the War Games Map Pass was only ever stated to be for the first 3 DLC’s of Halo 4. This was never meant to be included.

You don’t have to pay for it, you can wait 2 weeks and get access then for free.

Buying the War Games Map Pass for 2000 msp got you the first three map packs:

Crimson (800 msp)
Majestic (800 msp)
Castle (800 msp)

The Infinity Armor pack, the Steel Skin Pack, the Bullseye pack and the Championship Bundle (and any future DLC) is not, and was never meant to be, included with the Map Pass.

The War Games Map Pass was stated many times to only include the first three map packs for Halo 4, and more recently, it’s been confirmed several times that the Champtions Bundle is not included in the Map Pass.

Unfortunately, as much as I hate to say it, in this case it was your fault for simply being uninformed regarding the lack of inclusion of the Champions Bundle in the War Games Map Pass.

I suppose that all is true. I also forgot the two week wait thing. I mean I guess I could wait the two weeks seeing all I need are achievements cause I already reached mastery rank, but it just still kinda sucks. I guess I raged first cause I’m not having the best day to begin with. Thanks people.

The Champions Bundle wasn’t even planned when the Map Pass came out. This is new DLC pack entirely, so you’ll have to pay to use it. And I’m sure a whole $10 won’t cost you your house, man.

If this whole DLC shenanigan still nags you, then I bid you a fond “go cry, emo kid” and a gracious “adieu.”

EDIT: Oh, you learned of the problem already. Well, then… how are you today, OP?

This is true, but a season pass has an implied meaning that most games hold to. Even if they were clear about it, it was kind of underhanded to offer a “season pass”, which includes all future dlc for most games, and then just offer a specific selection of the DLC.

What will we get for free after 2 weeks?? The gamemode right?

Last time I checked, the armor mods and Ricochet were the only things from the DLC being unlocked for everybody.

Someone do please correct me, if I am wrong.

Good thing it was never called a “season pass”.

Pretty sure you’re right. Like 97% positive.

It’s still a DLC pass. It’s called the “Map Pass”. Sort of implies that it will get you all the maps. My point is that most games have passes for all of their DLC.

They never said season pass, just map pass. They even told everyone exactly what was included.

They stated that you would get the first 3 DLCs, not once did they say you’d get all of them.

When the terms of the map pass are clearly stated upon puchase, there should be no implication of all dlc being included. You assumed that it implied that

All of you people need to reread my posts. I never said they lied about what would be included. I never said they tricked me and now I’m pissed.

I just said that when almost all other games include a “season pass” that includes all of the game’s DLC by definition, it makes sense that some people wouldn’t read the fine print online and just think “Oh I’ll buy the season pass for this game” and then get the map pass without knowing that it only includes a subset of the game’s DLC. To even offer a “pass” that only includes certain things is kind of douchey.

I bought it knowing full well what it included. There is just a certain implication by way of majority trend that a “pass” for a game would include all of that game’s DLC.

It’d be like if they came out with a “map pack” that was just literal maps (overview pictures with weapon locations) and then stated in the press release that it wasn’t in game maps. Obviously some people would just go “Oh, cool. A new Halo map pack” and download it by mistake because of the implied meaning of the DLC.

They never tricked you, your just being blind to the fact that they clearly stated that you get the first 3 DLCs and ONLY the first 3 DLCs in the war games pass, it was not a season pass either. The end thats what it is like accept it or not its the truth.

Jesus christ, dude. You just quoted me saying “I’m not saying they tricked me. I bought it knowing exactly what was in it” and then responded to it with “They never tricked you! They totally said what was in it before you bought it. You’re blind!”. ACTUALLY READ MY POST BEFORE YOU QUOTE IT

Stop crying, it doesn’t matter what you said, any games “season pass” always covers x amount of DLC. This thread is pointless.

Since before launch we knew that the WARGAMES MAP PASS was for THREE map packs. Those three packs have already been delivered, there’s nobody to blame for this but yourself for not being informed.

That being said, the bundle is worth it.
