Why do I get the feeling, I'm gonna hate ONI?

I’ve already read Glasslands. I’m on Chapter 11 I think of Thursday War and it’s well not what I expected. I now know why the Elites are attacking us, and no I’m not going to spoil anything. Halsey is already gonna be in Halo 4 as we know, don’t believe me, watch the Vidocs of A Hero Awakens and Forerunner. I don’t see how she isn’t. I can safely assume John is pissed at Del Rio because he yells at John in one of the cutscenes in the Vidoc. Everyone thinks John is dead at the end of Halo 3 and ONI is trying to keep it that way. If you’ve read Glasslands and if your currently reading Thursday War. Do you get that same feeling?

Yeah

ONI’s always been trouble to me when you read the books. Remember The Mona Lisa? Go watch it on Waypoint right now and see why. ONI’s always trouble. They have been since way before the war with the Covenant started.

ONI may be evil. But without evil for contrast how would we recognize good?

> Yeah

No offense but have you even read the books or are reading Thursday War?

> ONI’s always been trouble to me when you read the books. Remember The Mona Lisa? Go watch it on Waypoint right now and see why. ONI’s always trouble. They have been since way before the war with the Covenant started.

I do remember watching that but going as far as trying to keep John dead? That’s wrong. I’ts horrifying what they are doing to Sanghelios right now. I’m pondering if the Arbiter is going to try and kill John after he finds out what ONI has done.

Isn’t Halsey in prison?

After reading the Thursday War, I like them even more. I got the book today, I finished it and I wrote a summary of it on my thread.

> Isn’t Halsey in prison?

Shes being held on the Infinity so no she’s not. Parangosy arrested her for a “war crime”. And yes I’m going to try not meleeing her when I see her or if I see her on the Infinity, yeah I hate her that much…

> Isn’t Halsey in prison?

facepalm

Nein, her punishment is basically being dead as far as civilians are concerned but having to continue working on the SPARTAN project without any praise or recognition for her work.

Ahh yes…ONI. I would trust a thief with my wallet more than an ONI spook anyday.

I thought she was ordered (forced) to study Installation-03?

That was it. She was sent to the Infinity to work on something then sent to an ONI research plant.

It’s hardly even a punishment or even anything that sounds like someone getting something they deserve, no it’s just Parangosky being an evil, petty, petulant, whiny -Yoink- and acting like a toddler and then illegally and falsely imprisoning Halsey against her will and forcing her into slave labor with plans of working her until she’s dead or useless. So not only is Parangosky a completely, total, and utter traitor to her own nation, she’s also breaking pretty much every single law on the books regarding human rights as well…and Karen Travissty knows such jack-didley-squat about the lore and the characters and…well, everything that she’s making everyone who should be acting and putting a stop to all of the stupidity act pants-on-head limited and/or as a pathetic and submissive little lap-dog to the Great Almighty High-Empress Admiral Parangosky who may do no wrong, all worship the ground she walks on!!! >_<

> ONI may be evil. But without evil for contrast how would we recognize good?

Eh, all well and good I mean…but ONI is acting a bit beyond evil and just being fully blow pants-on-head people with all the mental capacity of a chipmunk >_> They might be acting evil, but they’re doing it in such a way, and painfully obvious to boot, that all of them should be rotting in jail-cells for treason and various other charged ten-thousand times over.

Wait, you didn’t already hate ONI?

I hate ONI with a passion, I really wish I could just spit at their feet. They disgust me.

I couldn’t be in anymore agreement.

Same. I didn’t really catch just how powerful (nearly a omnipotent being in her own right) until she managed to successfully prolonging a civil war while somehow getting away with it. I can’t believe that a character that is so one dimensional-power hungry would be in a position of a supreme leadership. Why hasn’t Hood stepped in and stopped this?!

When I found out ONI had control of 3 Halos (Installations 03, 05, and 06), I knew they were big trouble. Not just the normal trouble they are, but the big kind of trouble.

They’ve become super power hungry, and believe no one will stop them… well, that is until Halo 5 when we go to ONI, and stop them before things get really bad.
