I placed on Team Arean in silver (yeah I’m not very good) but I keep getting matched up with Platinum and Diamond league players. This is very frustrating, not to mention the whole HCS only on team areana. I changed my settings from balanced to focused and still I keep having to play against people that are so much better than I am that it’s just a slaughter. It’s not fun spawning and dying over and over. I took a 2 year hiatus without playing Halo, and thought it’d be fun to play again, but with match ups like this I won’t be playing much more.

Try to play with a team. Even if you are the lowest ranked player a team that you can talk with can help you. Call outs help, but more importantly they can tell what you can improve on. As a plat player that plays with a lot of diamonds, never underestimate the power of hiding. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop dieing. I tell my team when I need help. Without a mic use the ping feature on the d-pad to let your team know you need help and where.

And therein lies the problem. There is no social setting for a casual that wants to play objective game modes (Team Skirmish, Core Play) at all times. Taking out the original Team Arena was a massive L in my opinion.

The original Team Arena was just as sweaty, if not more. Casuals still have customs. I agree though, the original shouldn’t have been removed.

Eh I found that the population of lower skilled players was much higher during the original Team Arena than it is now. Playing with my friend who is a low skill player (silver) is basically impossible because he gets stomped on in the HCS settings way more and it’s no fun for him so we can’t enjoy it together anymore. In the original team arena he could compete more.

I used to play HCS all the time because the original Team Arena was way sweatier but, maybe it’s just the people I was matching.

Funny, I use it, and have teamates that use it all the time. In ranked Slayer. Sometimes, I even use it by mistake when switching granades.

Yeah, it still makes the sound and you can activate it but, it does nothing except in campaign.
