Why do I attack overshield guy?

I am like a moth to the flame. Occasionally I get an assassination on one which is quite the Overshield burn but typically I just remove it and die. I probably have a 0.17 K/D with Overshield guy but I continue to be dumb and attack him. Do they have help groups available? I finally kicked my “Look into the light” problem I had with Rail Guns.

i mean in then long run, depending how you do against him you dying once to take off his OS benefits the team more often then just avoiding him by not. he could get 3+ kills before his OS dies off, but if you die once and he loses it or comes close to losing it then its a good thing…kinda…

also thats why callouts are important to team shoot him and melt the OS away faster

Become One with the Plasma Pistol, I guess.

Although that assumes you carry a PP on you at all times.

The guy has two shield, what do you expect you probably going to die if you 1v1 them. Unless of course the other guy sucks so much.

Because nobody tells you the odds.

I am stubborn like Han Solo. I specifically told my teammates to never tell me the odds.

I get your point but the PP is so situational except maybe in Warzone where at least you have vehicles and OS to deal with. I am also admittedly not an effective killer with charge weaps.

Exactly. The best way to counter OS…isn’t always avaliable. I just expected others to come in and say the same thing like “Gosh, Pulse. Why didn’t you think of this before?!”

You can still check the PP spawn a few seconds before OS spawns

Burning the OS and dying is better than just running away from the user. No help needed, good team play.

I do suffer from this as well. I try to pick away at their shields while at a distance and close to cover so I can retreat when they start coming for me. Occationaly I do something amazing like this:

Personally I should drop back to a teammate and 2v1 the OS but like I said I have a problem. Delusions of grandeur.

In H2 and H3 I used to take a pot shot on OS and then bread crumb him with nades as a flee then turn around and kill him but this game is much faster so its very tricky to properly bread crumb your nades.

i do it to, i guess hoping that there is a chance of killing him and not being killed, 1 out of 50 chance probably

Easy counter, plasma grenade.

Just make damn good use of yur 'nades.

I like a challenge in halo 5! Bring on your over shield, camo and damage bonus bro!

Burn the OS for your team mates

Don’t break the habit. Someone has to bring down his shields so you can merit an assist. I’m usually that guy too, but it is worth it, lol!

Someone’s gotta do it!

Better to weaken them rather than letting them run around mowing through your teammates for the next 2 minutes lol.
