WHY DO I ALWAYS GET THE WORST TEAMMATES!?

Seriously I just played meltdown and I was the only person on my team who had more than 2 kills! They went 2-8, 2-10, 2-3, 0-7, and 3-7.

I went 10-2…granted two guys on their team used camo with incineration cannons, but seriously none of my teammates got more than two kills? How am I supposed to enjoy the game/even have a chance at winning with people like this?

Sorry for any that say there is a hidden trueskill system, I am calling BS all the way home…that was a slaughter, not anything close to resembling a match at all.

sorry for the rant, I am just really sick of getting people this terrible.

90% of my losses are because of this, i tend to go highly positive and my team mates go something on the lines of -7, -29, -5 and i go +20-30, there is no hidden true skill algorithm, there’s not even networking options.

I have that problem as well sometimes, or most of the times.

And then always when playing DotA 2. Seems like making a proper matchmaking system is difficult now a days.

I recall having bad team mates in previous games and other game series as well, but not this frequently.

I know that feel OP. True Skill has been BS since Halo 3. For the first few ranks it seems to work, but eventually it just gives up and throws you together with whoever’s available.

I built a Clan mostly out of randoms back in 2004 and now we’re a brutally efficient killing machine made of up 14 people from around the world. Halo has been running online so long, there is no reason to not have a group of friends.

Add that to the fact that XBOX Live regressed from full mic use to almost ZERO mic use among NOOBS and you’re left with my crew matching up against a band of randoms with zero communication… NO REMORSE… MERGE FOR THE KILL

Just get some friends

Hopefully there will be a CSR BTB playlist, Slayer, CTF, Dominion, 3-plot extraction. Hopefully CSR works better than ‘true skill’ and that party vs party player matching is enforced.

OT: I’m not sure how player matching works in Halo 4 but teams seem often to be extremely stacked. I suspect you can be matched with anyone with a ‘skill range’ and that range expands depending on population. But it also seems like it is possible for one team to have all players on the top of that range and the other team with only players from the bottom, plus you, which is quite annoying.

The most shocking thing to me is that peeps on here continue to believe that player skill is an absolute indicator of how well a team will perform.

I have 3 Clan members for Objective gametypes who can’t kill a dang thing.

But they extract your flag constantly.

IF YOU DON’T COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM, YOU WILL LIKELY LOSE-

So perhaps matchmaking should be focused on building games either made up of all randoms, or parties.

Again, I actually don’t care, because with the level of communication my team has, we absolutely slaughter those random teams with no mics.

And that’s just awesome.

I do have friends, they just don’t play Halo 4 anymore and I don’t really like the whole make friends with unknown people thing. I am not asking for a clan either, I just want semi-competent teammates who don’t all go negative or actually play the objective or at least help.

COD is bad enough for awful team mates, but you can run solo pretty well. Halo needs an effective team shot to work well. My FL has almost abandoned this game so I am playing COD a lot more.

If there was a true FFA list it would mitigate this

I just don’t understand why it is so hard for some individuals to play as a team. You don’t need mics it anything just help people. I consistently die because I have a guy behind me and when I need help he’s magically gone. Or in Dominion everyone just camps the base even if were losing or only have one base and a slim lead.
