Why do Hunters get the short stick?

I was reading Contact Harvest last night and they mentions the Mgalekgolo (Hunters) and it got me thinking about the other races of the Covenant. Something about it has puzzled me about why there are different armor sets for grunts, jackals, elites and different load outs for them as well but the only thing that has changed noticeable about the Hunters over the years is the cannon on their arms.

You could argue that they only have one role but that has been skewed by the Warzone Elder Hunters and Serpent Hunters.

So if you get bored 343i could you show the arguably least paid attention to race a little love by giving them a more decorative shield or change there fighting style to complement the pair like having one with a close range weapon and the other with a ranged weapon?

Still no love for the Hunters :frowning:

Well there are 3 different weapons for them. Fuel rod, beam, and that new death tracking plasma thing.

Hunters are already long range and short range.

They have never really needed much love. Very few times are they even added in the game. When they are they are a -Yoink- to kill.

I feel they do not move as one organism they do not protect each others flank, they both turn to face one spartan instead of turning to protect one another.

They don’t need any more looking after, they always kill me no problem and have plenty of health, they’re doing just fine, it’s a shame there isn’t more of them

There is always only two at a time, because they move in brother pairs.

What is they had like 5 or 6 Hunters that needed to be taken down at one time at one spot? That would be fun!

Because you can’t assassinate them

They seem to me to be the hardest enemy to kill not including the Warden whose pretty much a huge hunter with the almost same weak points…

Except that one time in reach.

There was a spot in reach that I think had more than 2 on exodus.
