Why do humans in Infection have radar?

Stealth and sheer numbers (at least, late in the round) are the only advantages zombies have in infection. Humans only have to hold up in a good camping spot and watch the choke points and their radars. Why make the sneaking part any harder for shieldless zombies? If a zombie runs up to a lone human who isn’t facing him, chances are that the human will be notified by his radar have more than enough time to just turn and kill the zombie. A player lacking situational awareness shouldn’t be awarded in a game type where that’s really the only thing they have to focus on.

Can we try turning off radar for humans and see how it works out?

I think that’s a good idea that could make the game more tense and exciting for the humans. The only problem I can see with it is that since the zombies move so quickly, the humans will find themselves infected out of nowhere. Maybe if the zombies moved slower this could work.

I think it would be funny for the Humans to have a five foot radar, just to troll.

I disagree. Yes zombies do get killed a lot but they win most of time so I don’t see why it needs to be changed.

That isn’t the point of this thread. Nobody cares if Zombies win or Humans win. The score is all that matters.

The only issue w/ removing radar is that it would be significantly more difficult to have multiple sprees. However, I would rather take that consequence over the exploitation of camping spots.

You can call it predator zombie and have it as one of the options.

No radar for anybody, perhaps?

That might be better. Humans good at hiding should be rewarded as long as they’re not using exploits. However, most people who hide crouch everywhere, and campers aren’t trying to be sneaky, so it probably wouldn’t make much difference.
