Why do H5 Arena Maps have so many nooks & crannys?

I mean, I’m not complaining, those cool little spots have gotten me so many clutches—but why are there so many of them?

Don’t know it’s just how 343 and some Community maps creators made them.

I actually thought this thread was going to be about useless edges and objects that get you killed. God i hate how many useless stuff like that is in h5. Like my dude clambers accidentally on an object knee high sometimes, or i back up during a fight and end up getting stuck on a useless protrusion in the wall.

But yea. The little awesome spots on the map are cool. I especially like the special jumps in the game. It’s amazing that stuff is found by players and not actually deliberate design. At least from my understanding, that’s how it seemed. I wonder what the next halo will bring to the table. Some insane grapple jump button combo or something lol

Halo has always had these. You used to have to grenade jump to get to most of them. A lot of these in halo 5 lead to more important areas on the map if you Gandhi hop/stabilize combo. Also they help make the ground pound more useful.

I actually felt the same way until I noticed players doing really advanced jumps. Like off the wall of railgun spawn onto platform that camo spawns on Fathom. I youtubed advanced jumps for each of the maps and they showed where each of these little nooks can take you.
