Or maybe we should all just realize that this is a meaningless aesthetic change. It will in no way effect any part of the game. Therefore making MULTIPLE THREADS ABOUT THE NUMBER OF TOES THE GRUNT HAS IS STUPID.
But why? Grunts had always had the 3 tripod like feet in the halo canon even in the media. They look like mini brumarks.

We haven’t met all Grunt-types in the Halo universe, how could you know that this isn’t canon? Same for the topic: “Why did they changed the anatomy of the Grunts”.It would be better to discuss other topics and not such an unimportant thing.
funny thing is, they have always had 4 toes, but in the older games the 4th toe is on the back of their foot.

Poor Grunts never stood a chance as cannon fodder, so evolution granted them a fourth toe for distraction within 4 years.
(On a more serious note: if you complain about this, did you also complain about the physical change in the shape of Jackal’s heads from CE to H2 and such?)

Yeah it’s called 4 toes distraction mode and it is a armor ability developed by grunts.^^

Hmmm, I don’t know. Black, White, Asian, all the same. just different variations in skin tone of the same race. Just like the Skirmishers and Jackals. These are the same grunts, they just don’t have everything covered up like they did before and it’s a different artistic impression.

Yes, but changing what was supposed to be a black exokeleton into SKIN, is not right. I don’t care about the number of thumbs, but look at this and then at this. They changed them from being insectile to being fat little blobs. No matter how good the new look is, that just isn’t right…

If they gave Elites fur, would you not care? It’s basically the same, but the Grunts’ true look wasn’t as noticeable.
