Why do fanboys hate change?

ive seen so many people complaining " sprint ruins the game", " the radar is too small", " the aiming is horrible", “the AR is too OP” etc…
seriously what is their problem? I’ve found nothing round with the aiming and didn’t notice even a tiny change with it.
The radar means you have to be aware of your surroundings without just staring at the radar the whole game ( this takes skill as you have to have better movement and perception, ironically what the fanboys complain about who liked the more competitive game)
also I’ve seen people complain about sprint saying its an “illusion” which I don’t get because it completely contradicts the fact that they think sprint ruins the game cause you can get round the map too quick.
can someone give me a reasonable and sensible explanation to why they hate these additions without using the words “it’s not halo anymore” because that’s basically saying I hate change and do you seriously want 343 to release halo 3 2.0, 3.0 etc… And just chuck money at them for a game with identical mechanics to before. I don’t understand this. And before anyone puts a comment down I did in fact enjoy halo 3 but I accept games have to change to stay alive and progress

I cry of joy everytime I see such status! I loved every single Halo so far and I’m still there, playing Halo 5 and enjoying it as much as I enjoyed all the other

They don’t have to be fanboys. I’ve playing Halo since CE first came out, And I’ve loved every Halo more than any other game, so you can call me a Fanboy but I’m loving the lots of changes. Sprint is something what should’ve been always in the game but it never bothered me in Halo 3 that it wasn’t there.
The Radar is smaller, well if people complain about that they are relying more on their radar than on the enviroment.

But everybody has something that complain about, the game is not perfect infact no game is perfect. But some people just accept it and others cry about it.

Sprint in Halo 4 was basically an illusion because the maps were enlarged and built around Sprint… and whatever you could do which required Sprint (like jumping a gap) you could manage with base movement in the previous games.

Some of the changes people complain about however makes me laugh. The fact that their precious Battle Rifle can’t beat an Assault Rifle in CQC makes them complain, the fact the Magnum can beat the BR in CQC makes them complain. I have to admit though, some of the maps aren’t exactly built with Sprint in mind. They’re kinda… small in some aspects or poorly built in general (SWAT is plagued by the poor Spawnpoints).

Overall I don’t exactly hate the changes but I wouldn’t agree on all of them.

Works the other way too:
“Why do fanboys defend every change 343 makes?”

I consider myself a fanboy, but I hated Halo 4 and love Halo 5, so I don’t think we’re all just blind followers/naysayers.

Guys…i only miss split screen.

It’s not just change. They hate everything.

This community will always complain. If I was 343 I would be so sick of listening to the “true halo fans”

Why do people keep calling Vet players fanboys?

Why is it okay to accept change for the sake of change?

Why cant we keep the core mechanics and expand upon them instead of re making every single aspect of a well established franchise?

It’s because you’re easily entertained/satisfied. Lol.

CoD has been doing quite well with a yearly release since 2007 (It’s the top console fps) and it hasn’t changed very much; other than adding a whole bunch of content (zombies, more guns, prestige levels, more robust campaigns, etc.) Ever since Halo “changed” it’s been on decline. So whether it needed to change to stay alive and progress can be argued.

the radar IS too small and sprint DOES NOT AND NEVER HAS RUINED THE GAME and i actually dont see how people have a problem with the aiming its fine for me and the AR is not OP

Fanboys are the ones that blindly love whatever is dolled out to them regardless of what it may entail, actually. Just because people dislike sprinting or whatever doesn’t necessarily make them fanboy.

It’s just fine to criticize or accept whatever changes happen. Doesn’t effect me much.

Been playing halo ever since it came out.

Been playing Halo 5 none stop while i agree with most of your comments, I really do dis-like the reduce “radar” (motion censor) in arena tho.

And don’t agree with your comment about reduce “radar”

I don’t believe camping has much to-do with circumference of the “radar” neither do I think by having it reduce means you need to be more aware of your surroundings. My biggest complaint about the reduce “radar” is that now with the increase movement, agility and reduced TTK I often find myself taken fire from behind with no indication an enemy is even present. With the reduce circumference someone sprinting, trusting towards you will most likely kill you from behind with not ever showing up. I just don’t understand the logic increase movement and agility then reduce the “radar” should have just keep the circumference the same as all past halo games but still add the new features.
anyone is even in

Halo Fanboys don’t hate change. The bad part of the community hates change. I know, I’m a Halo fanboy and only (originally) bought the X-Box One for Halo. And there is no good reason for them hating change.

The bad part of the community: CoD sucks it never changes! WHY IS 343I CHANGING MY HALO GAME! IT HAS TO STAY THE SAME!

Have you actually read those posts?..

Most are well-reasoned and have good arguments. Fanboys hate change for the worse, which isn’t a problem whatsoever.

  1. Sprint is bad for Halo and has been proven to be for years now.

  2. Dead Zones and sluggish aim acceleration ruined the aiming. Casuals don’t really notice it but us competitive players do. Its like playing on a TV vs playing on a Monitor. Casuals don’t notice.

  3. Radar should be taken out completely tbh

  4. AR melts faster than in any previous Halo game. The gun isn’t competitive and shouldn’t be as powerful as it is due to how easy it is.

Actually they hate any change. I remember when the community was alive and well and not a bunch of idiots whining about new installments. There has never been any “good arguments” for them to keep it the exact same game (which is ALWAYS the argument).

  1. Actually it hasn’t. I have yet to see anybody “prove” that it is bad and I’ve been around since CE. Hell sprint was originally in Halo 2 as well.
  2. I have never encountered a “Dead Zone” and nobody I have on my friends list has or they would complain about it because that’s just who they are. And good shot on the players who want to play casual. Trying to make them feel inferior because you’ve “played Halo”. I too am a competitive player and these so called dead zones have no effect on gameplay.
  3. Explain your reasonings? It may be small but that’s why you can’t just stare at your radar all the time, you gotta look up and you gotta look around.
  4. Actually the Halo CE AR was pretty damn powerful and so was the Halo 3 one.

I think you’re being needlessly confrontational and dismissive. At the same time, somehow.

Humans by nature are afraid of change. It is a scarcity mindset: “don’t take away what I know!”

I don’t, I hate the map design, the swat spawningd broken and I dislike the melee system as it doesn’t work
