Why Do Console Players Want Crossplay Disabled Anyway?

Accuracy with a controller is 50-60% while M/KB is 35-45% on average. With Halo controller beats out M/KB on everything except quickly turning around.

Lol honestly. Halo always has and always will be a console game. The fact that PC players just got the game and want aim assist changed is absurd

OP, based on your comments here, I would disable cross-play with PC players solely to not play with you. And that’s ok.

Thats fine, lets keep it the same as it always has been. But that also means keeping halo mediocre, which it has been since halo reach.

Theatre clips are glitchy as heck due to bad netcode.

There’s this link. Read the discussion that occurs.

Going to look for it and have a looksie.

I’m commiting a mortal sin with online gaming, and that’s WiFi.
Even worse, the router is in another room and if I shut the door which is nothing more than a little fancier cardboard, atleast from the looks of another door the kids perforated, the xbox starts lagging like crazy.
Old router wouldn’t accept cable for some reason for the Xbox, or the xbox, not sure. New router now anyway so will get a CAT6E cable, to eliminate some potential issues.

I’m pretty sure there’s even a video on YouTube that debunked aim assist giving console players an unfair advantage. I honestly felt the aim assist in Halo 5 more than I do in this game.

Those clips show them literally tracking players through walls and timing perfect nades / shots. The last one clearly shows 3 perfect shock rifle kills, and he just snaps onto each of them

Wasn’t it just last year where everyone was joking about console players having zero ability to aim? I seem to remember a plethora of meme videos about just that topic.

Personally, I always disable any form of aim assist on consoles. Even with it on though, if you are zoomed in the analog sticks have next to no ability to line up a shot at a distance, while a mouse is able to pinpoint that target in a fraction of the time.

Aim assist has a functional range, KB and mouse doesn’t. I don’t want to play BtB matches where a PC player can ping me from a mile away in a fifth the time it would take for a console player to make that shot.

Console players don’t have any ability to aim. Take away their Aim Assist and what are you left with? It’s all about how much or how little Aim Assist 343 wants to give controller players to give them their “skill”.

That is a huge gaming sin to play on wifi my dude. I would buy a 50 or 100ft cable and run it through the house to your xbox. That’s what I used to do lmao

“Because PC players cheat” Im a PC player, never cheated but okay… if that makes ur boat float… and no we dont ruin everything but you do with this stupid post IMO

Thanks, this will save me some time

I don’t think he meant all PC players. Of course all PC players aren’t cheaters, however the only way you can cheat in these games is on PC, and most of us would like to avoid playing with these kind of people.

As a mkb user I feel like I do just fine

edit-also how would only allowing people on one input turn of crossplay work

Or, if you can’t do that (like me, my roommate is no bueno) you can buy a Powerline! It gives you near-ethernet connection through your electrical wiring. And shockingly it works wonders!

Edit: no pun intended but lol shockingly

I do just fine too. It’s not about doing just fine though. Its about being able to compete. And lets be honest, at some point the absolute laser of AA is gonna hold you back until you either quit or switch to controller.

Also your other point - you’d just have to lock input on game launch.

Powerline is definitely a good alternative, yes. However, it does have shortcomings with range and interference. Anyone thinking of implementing it should bear that in mind.

Yeah, and it has to be on the same circuit/breaker, which isn’t an option for some. Although I think you can use a capacitor to connect your circuitry together. Well, not “you” but a professional electrician can, in order to use a powerline. But ethernet cable is definitely the ideal.
