Why do all my teammate suck at playing Halo 4

No matter what game it is my team usually loses! It’s not like I’m a pro or anything but I’m sick of trying to win when my teammates are horrible at this! I miss that feature in Reach where you could only get skilled players and fast connections, etc.

Play with friends or ask people to play with you in recruiting

Agreed. I don’t know if the matchmaking system is screwed up or if the population just isn’t high enough, but it really seems like every game for me is about me trying to win faster than my teammates can lose.

I’ve played CTF games where we’re down by one point and my entire team is defending our base. You have to score to win, and whether we lose 0 to 1 or 0 to 3, it’s still a loss, so I have no idea what they’re thinking.

Team Doubles seems to like to pair one good player and one bad player against another good player and bad player. Again, the game comes down to which good player can win faster than his bad teammate can lose. The winning team is usually the one with the better bad player.

Makes for a very frustrating matchmaking experience.

This is why I stopped playing Matchmaking altogether. Sure, I’ll hop on every once in awhile to fetch and download map updates and gametypes from my temporary history. And since I have very few friends to play Halo 4 with online (most just quit the game), and I’m SR130 (nothing to really strive for other than commendations), so I really have no excuse to play Halo 4 unless I have those few friends online to play customs with. Either that or I’ll play solo and try and create some badass screenshots, like this one or this one here.

I miss the good connection option most of all.

Thanks! It’s not as easy to do as it looks. Takes a lot of precise movement of the camera to get the perfect angle, and at that I still don’t get them all the time.

This is probably the best way I could think to phrase it. There’s something wrong when I go positive 20 and my team still loses.

I can’t even get good teammates. I get so frustrated by them I just quit. I miss reach’s system. If you get -Yoink- teammates and lose a couple times, they give you awesome teammates, or at least a -Yoink- team to play against.

I can’t think of a single good player who still plays this game consistently. Getting a decent teammate is like a 1/100 chance.

Yea…I can tell within the first couple minutes how its gonna play out…if I get stuck with horrific teammates I just goof around and work on achievements and what not.

I find that happens to me in SWAT a lot.

I know how you feel. I usually get stuck on the team that has no idea how to play Dominion.

There are people that actually understand how to play Dominion? From my experience, I thought that everyone believed it was Slayer with turrets.

This is very, VERY frustrating for me as well.

My Flag Victory Master is only at 26/150 now, and it’s been taking WAY longer than it should to finish it, because when I join a game, one of two things happen:

  1. I join a game in progress, and we are losing 0-4.

  2. I play a game, go 36 kills to 10 deaths, make a few captures, but my teammates are so bad that it just doesn’t help.

But, of course, most of my friends don’t like Halo, and those that do are few in number.

If you’ve only just started playing in a playlist perhaps it’s becasue your CSR is low and your matched with other low CSR players (then again, the CSR of your opponents should be low, so perhaps that’s not it).

I miss when Halo 2 and 3 ranked us properly.

You really can’t expect to win when searching by yourself. You’re guaranteed bad teammates if you are a decent player because that’s how MM works.

Someone needs to explain to 343 how this is bad for everyone. I am sure bad players hate getting destroyed just as much as good players hate going +20 and losing.

The only playlist that is somewhat winnable by yourself is doubles because their is only one bad teammate to carry.

This is one of the reasons I enjoy playing Flood. Doesnt matter if the rest of the humans arent good.I find a nice quiet place to hide and sit there until the end of the round. Same when Im the flood. I make you come to me. Then I make shishkabob with your face.
