Why do a bunch of people still believe the Battle Pass costs 10$?

For those who don’t use Reddit or haven’t come across it, I posted a thread over there about my “$0 Budget Spartan”:
https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/rrf4yw/i_present_to_you_the_0_budget_spartan_level_100/

A bunch of comments already mentioned that apparently it should be the 10$ Budget Spartan or something like it, which it is not.

The Battle Pass itself is free - the Premium Battle Pass is what costs 10$.

I don’t understand why people are under the assumption that the default Battle Pass costs 10$. Is it just a given that everybody bought Premium without some of them realizing that there’s 66 free rewards in it without Premium? I’m so confused…

You played the game?

No, I just randomly asked…

The free items are pretty piss poor, and rather than wasting the effort to type out premium battle pass most folks understand when you are referring to premium vs free items based on context.

But you dont even have to pay for it. Just use MS rewards to get points, in a month or two you got the 10$ to redeem the BP. I did that, and so far 343 hasn’t seen a dime from me, nor will in the near future until things change

You don’t get anything good from the free version. The $10 version is fine, I already have it maxed out and I’m content with the content.

Reach had a lot of problems but the art design wasn’t one of them, I like my Spartan build.

I do wish they had more weapon skins or attachments maybe, I like weapon customization.

I think when most people talk about the battle pass they assume the premium version, not the free version.

It’s not something I would worry about too much.

That Reddit thread also goes to show it’s quite possible to customise your Spartan in several different armor and color combinations without spending a penny

I did buy the premium pass myself though for the Mk V core
