Right so Deon has popped up a few times now talking about how John suddenly stopped turning up for practice, how we hoped he would never seen his name on the list of dead people from this home world, he wonders what happened to him. Why didn’t Benjamin say to him that John is the Master Chief or “supposedly” the Master Chief given the current state of affairs with his investigation? He told Ellie outright that John went on to be the master Chief back when he first spoke to her in episode 01, but when he first spoke to Deon in the same episode he didn’t mention it at all, and this was when Benjamin was completely certain John was the Master Chief before everything began to become obscure with his investigation.
