why did you waste your chance?

all of you claim to want halo 2 multiplayer back yet you haven’t shown your support for halo 2 vista, the last chance for halo 2 multiplayer besides that xconnect thing,

there are at the time of writing 10 servers with a population and that is including servers with less than two players in them, while there are a total of 35 servers with a healthy population in halo ce 1.9 and that is not including players of the demo, custom edition or people who have not updated.

you have had your chance for halo 2 multiplayer and yet you have shown no support for it, considering the servers will be shut down on the fifth of next month the population reflects the reality, you say you want halo 2 back but its a lie, if you really wanted halo 2 back you would have been playing it since 2007.

accept it people, you had a chance and you ignored it because in reality you wouldn’t play halo 2 if it did come back.

Halo 2 Vista is not Halo 2. Although they are similar, the things that made Halo 2 work are not necessarily in vista. There is not matchmaking system, ranking system, it is only featured on vista so there is a low population of players to pull from and a majority of games that are being played are running 2 flag swords on coagulation. When we say we want halo 2 back, we want it back on the xbox. I played Halo 2 Vista for a while and it was fun, but it felt different than when I play on XBC or xbox live. I think if Halo 2 was re-skinned or just visually upgrades to have HD graphics and re-released with the multiplayer it had in the past, it would be a huge success.

lolwut? I’m sorry but Halo 2 Vista is an awful port. Even when I play it with an xbox controller it feels nothing like the xbox Halo 2. As the previous commenter mentioned, there is no matchmaking and no 1-50 ranking system. Many who have played Halo 2 Vista have determined that it is complete crap compared to the xbox Halo 2.

thanks people! I’ve always wanted to try my hand at being a crazy preacher, not only that but i have learned that despite having a matchmaking button halo 2 vista does not include matchmaking

have both xbc and h2v and vastly prefer xbc

better competition and it’s still the exact same halo 2 that was there before

i know a boatload of people that would instantly buy and play h2 again should it be done right but i’m the only one who plays xbc

it’s just not worth it for a lot of people to have to plug in an ethernet and run a program on their computer every single time they want to play h2 customs

you can’t use h2v and xbc populations as a barometer for a potential h2 market

> you can’t use h2v and xbc populations as a barometer for a potential h2 market

This

Being a player of both the Xbox and PC version I can still not understand why people seem to think they are so different! the PC one looks better, runs better, has achievements, extra maps but doesn’t have ranks. What major difference is there? you can choose your server anyway and can make your own one if you really want to!
And I still play h2v
