why did you make infection gay?

Halo Reach is a fun game, with many fun sub games. One of my favorites used to be infection… Now the infection gameplay has been changed multipile times and is no longer enjoyable. Was it too hard to leave a good thing alone? Yes, I know it was much easier as a human before, especially on levels like Sword Base and Asylum. That added to the fun! Getting in “defensible” spots is a challenge all in itself. I would go back to playing infection more if it ever changed back, but for now I will stick with Survival mode on MW3. I’m not giving up on Halo, just on this gametype.

Well I only think it’s fair for those at a major disadvantage (the zombies) to have a little boost. Maps such as Spooky Base, which eliminates the most notorious camping spots, where the humans could just rack up the kills with the cross-mapper magnum.

The new maps do suck. Why not take actual Community maps. Or just ones from Insanmiac!

The new map variants make it easier for the zombies and harder for the humans. Basically, those who just camp with a shotgun or magnum in a one-way lift are at a disadvantage.

You would prefer the new maps if you were infected.

@crazyfoomandude I think that you bring a good point on the disadvantage of zombies but thats why they made alpha zimbies. Right now it is g*y that you can get a killing spree as a zombie. I would rather join Stropierdrake and play MW3 than play on these dumb maps.

I also find it fun to be a zombie and try and get the humans who are in amazing spots, im not a noob woried about my K/D, i have fun when i play

Well radar, shotguns and cross map magnums yet you let the zombies get a killing spree?

The only zombie I’ve ever seen to get a spree would be, well… me.

The maps aren’t that bad in balance. They make it more fair, yes. But zombies are always just targets to humans.

I love how my URL bar says “Why did you make infection gay?”.

What, you’d prefer being betrayed over and over again with the culprits having no chance of being punished?

Wait, they replaced THAT word with happy, right. My URL bar says otherwise.

They’re not fooling anybody. I agree with the changes, too often have I been in infection and for one thing if you spawn as a zombie only it isn’t fun at all getting killed 100 times in 1 game while people camp in towers or places unreachable to zombies. I think Drake is just upset that he can’t betray constantly or get an untouchable every round in infection through exploits in the maps. I don’t see what’s wrong with an Infection spree, or Mmm Brains… Even if I never get it if it were possible I would just like to hear the sound file for the Thriller medal.
As for these maps, they’re way better than the normal maps, not only do they look better, but also with the added difficulty for humans. You can’t just find a place to hide anymore, doorways are blocked off keeping zombies out, but also keeping humans from camping in one place for too long. Maybe Drake doesn’t like it now because it’s harder as a human and not just a cake walk.

You should be asking yourself why Infection isn’t fun at all. In Halo 3, you had multiple gametypes and several creative maps when it came on during double EXP weekend. Why in Reach is it mostly all default maps? The ones that have been edited only differ slightly (adding kill barriers, blocking off spots). Infection hasn’t changed too much since the start of Reach. Personally, I think it’s been stale for a long, long time.

I liked the original infection from halo 3 because you start with an AR and you have
to go around the map to find power weapons, it gave you a goal.

(PS not a reach hater)

The new updates made me go back and play it again! I didn’t have to worry about being betrayed if I looked at someone the wrong way, as well as actually having a decent chance as a zombie!
