Halo has a much deeper story and characters you get emotionally connected to and in cod it’s a new person every time only to have old ones appear for a second.

I agree with you on all of those reasons and am glad you brought this up. No one should complain about what Halo has given us. We are not shouting “I din’t even see him how did he kill me!” or an endless string of curses. 343i has blessed us innumerably.
I got halo because I have been a long time fan and need to know the story!

I’ve always been a huge halo fan so it isn’t a hard choice for me. Every year I play COD I begin to lose interest in it shortly, so this year it isn’t my top priority.
Also, I’m buying both Halo and Fallout 4.
For me, COD seems to be the same game every year with a few different updates. I’m never been a big Halo guy, but I couldn’t keep supporting COD’s unoriginality.
Halo #1 BO3 lost its direction. BO3 wanted to Play all fps bases and fall short.

Forge, is another reason because of the creativity Bungie and 343 has given us to play with our friends and other people alike. Cod and halo are different from each other. But BO3 and Halo 5 play somewhat the same.
I chose halo because of this difference but cod and halo are going to play like each other which i think is bad. Hope the difference of halo and cod stay.

Because I grew up playing Halo and I prefer it over COD. Plus I’m a Halo fan.
My reasons involve story and gameplay. I know that the CoD franchise is desperately trying to innovate their games, but they are still the same at their core. Halo has a deeper story and mythos attached to it, and I feel like they are constantly trying to change all game modes in order to give their audience what they want.
It’s all about the story.
I like COD only for zombies, Halo is much better and I would easily choose Halo 5 over any COD game
I really like the direction that COD is taking, but I just do not see getting BO3 as I have not invested into the story and just have not passion to play it’s multiplayer.
Why get one when you can get both?
Actually, I didn’t choose one over the other. I purchased both and plan on playing them both to judge them on their merits. I’ve found that until you spend some time in the game, you don’t know what really speaks to you. CoD BO2 was brilliant and I really enjoyed it, whereas Ghosts and AW were abysmal. I spent so much time in Halo3 PVP and am looking forward to reigniting that flame in Halo 5. We’ll see how it goes! 
I believe that halo 5 will last longer
