Bigger fan of Halo than Cod
It’s like asking why do you watch Star Wars over Transformers.
I chose Halo 5 because I enjoy the story that isn’t just another terrorist attack against somewhere in the world like in CoD. Plus multiplayer always changes but doesn’t change so much that you can’t recognise it’s a halo game. Plus Halo was my first game on Xbox I ever played.
The Halo universe is much more than the games if you think the depth of the story and universe is only the games.
Pick up one of the books, I highly suggest the Fall of Reach or Ghost of Onyx.
Easy: better campaign, better coop experience, better story and lore, better game mechanics, better universe, better music, better multiplayer…
To sum it up: better everything, they don’t even compare.
Havent been a fan of CoD since modern warfare 1-3, but admit BO3 does spark some interest but wallet screamed halo 
I’ve played a lot of both, but I’ve gotten really angry at COD so thought i’d go for a more relaxed time enjoying Halo.
I basically didn’t. Already had BO3 on preorder. Starting around the time Reach came out, I started spending far more time playing cod than I have Halo with 4 being utterly underwhelming. I only played it for the story, multiplayer wasn’t for me. With all the hype around Halo 5 I picked up MCC, rewatched Legends, started listening to Hunt the Truth, replayed the campaigns and honestly couldn’t resist picking up Halo 5. I need to know what happened to Cortana. Halo was my first shooter, I love the universe whether it’s in books, comics, animation, or games, and I can’t wait to get back into it.
Reasons I got Halo 5 first.
- Campaign: I enjoy the campaign, and I believe a story is a strong component of a game (In my opinion, I also played 1-4 + O.D.S.T just for Halo 5) - Multiplayer: I do believe the multiplayer has evolved, but it still has something Call Of Duty doesn’t, a base, while Call of Duty is going from Modern to Future warfare, I believe that we all know Halo has been in the time line that makes this all acceptable. - Friends: Most of my friends are getting this, and we love the story completely, and we believe the campaign has a story line that can make a multiplayer campaign even more exciting. - Halo: It’s Halo!
I’ll end up with both at some point, but Halo is the main game series I play and I love it. The last CoD game I played with a pretty good campaign was MW3, well, that’s just my opinion anyway. I’ll buy Black Ops 3 for the zombies if nothing else
Tell me one game in the cod that has a good campaign. Forge is way better then the whole Call Of Duty series
I have enjoyed both, but I have been a little burned out on COD since ghosts
I enjoy a good story and Halo is by far one of the most rich stories there is. After I finish a Cod Campaign I hardly ever go back. I feel like they focus only on multiplayer.
I grew up playing halo against my cousin i have alot of history with this game
COD’s have got a bit stale for me.
Why not both…
The reason I chose halo 5 instead of Bo3 Is that of the last three cods I played they story’s that are just to similar to the last even if it’s a different part of cod like Modern warfare and black ops.
When you make a cod game every year -year and a half it becomes the same exact thing after a little while. And halo is a much deeper and diverse universe.
I didn’t choose halo over cod I play both so yh
