After giving Black Ops 3 a fair trial, I do not intend on purchasing it ever.
It seems they took a lot of influence from Destiny for whatever strange reason. Its the same insane time to kill gameplay, with crazy variables such as Destiny/Halo 4 inspired abilities shoved in with a strange character mechanic.
Honestly just seems like the same old dog falling on it’s -Yoink- trying too many new tricks.
I chose Halo 5 after a lot of reservation, and plenty of research, because I feel it will fill a void I currently don’t get from any competitive shooters available right now.
COD never got me through cancer. Halo did. I’m not sayin Halo is why I beat cancer, but when I needed to get away, be entertained, let out rage, or anything, Halo is what helped me the most. And also I got bored with BO3 in an hour
I’m actually NOT choosing one or the other. I preordered both. They both have completely different personalities for a game, and I enjoy both of them.
They’re both extremely competitive games in their own right. Since BO1 and Halo 3 (which in my opinion was the worst halo created for MP) they’ve gotten much similar in their gameplay. Like speed of movement, abilities, customization etc…
Though I do play BO more for MP, since the story is always basically the same. Where as Halo has an amazing original backstory and keeps progressing it every time.
So I’m not choosing one or the other. I play anything, and play to win.
Because I’d rather casual gamers than MLG try hards, wanna be trolls that scream “U MAD BRO??!!1!1!1!!!”, and edgy 12 year olds who obsess over COD and FNAF.
I would have bought Black Ops 3 for the zombie mode alone and I figured that wasn’t worth the price. With Halo 5 there is an intriguing story that I’ve been a fan of since the first game, Forge mode which I always spend a long time on and of course the multiplayer with game modes and customization options that look amazing. Not to mention the REQ packs which also look like a really cool addition to Halo.
