Can anyone explain to me why this thread was locked? In no way did it get out of bounds. I know that bungie locked any thread that was critical. But, I didn’t know 343 did this. Maybe people are reporting the thread. IDK. It is sad that people don’t realize that a forum is for debate. There is two sides to every argument…The good and the bad.

It appears someone made a post that violated the forum rules and therefor the thread was locked.
Threads don’t get locked because someone reported it for something random. Threads get locked because someone reported something going on in the thread that violates the rules/ guidelines and the moderators thought the reported thread merited a lock.
They made it where you couldn’t read the post. So, I could just make one terrible comment in any thread and end it?

…No. That single post just gets deleted/ edited by a moderator.

That doesn’t normally happen. Usually, the post gets moderated and the thread is allowed to live. Unless there was fear that the thread was quickly going to degrade at that point…

When a admin judges that the discussion at hand has either strayed off topic or is not supporting civil discussion, they lock the thread. Honestly the only way to truly find out is to contact and admin.

The number of people’s comments getting edited by a moderator doesn’t solely determine whether or not a thread gets locked.

As I said before, an Admin judged that the discussion was not going where it was intended, so they locked it. You can try contacting bs angel to find the exact reason, but other than that, it is conjecture.
