Why did they replace power ups?
Who said they did? We still had power ups in Reach with AAs. Unless I am missing something or forgetting something here I don’t think they did.
They didn’t they are just in a different form
I do kind of miss the old over shield. And camo was certainly more balanced as a power up on the map that you had to fight over.
Why they would change parts of the formula that worked so well and was so different from other games is beyond me… I mean, Camo still being an AA?

That’s what Bungie thought for matchmaking. Their guess was horribly miscalculated.
There is an enormous different between
placing something overpowered on the map for everyone to fight over so they can earn it and have an equal chance of doing so,
and
“You died? pick another. Enjoy the randomness.”
When did they do that?
