Why did they cut the railgun?

It was one the best weapons 343 added imo. Maybe somewhat redundant with the sentinel beam?

Nah Iā€™m guessing that weapons (and their cosmetics lol) will be added later.

I miss the Rail gun too and the Grenade Launcher. I hope some variants from Halo 5 return as well.

How does the sentinel beam make the railgun redundant? They function in a completely different manner.

Because they are both occupying that weird almost heavy weapon slot. I know they are different.
