Because enough people muted you. Its dumb you dont even need to be talking and people will still mute you.
You dont have to do anything to get voice banned as long as enough people decide hey lets be funny and mute everyone we come across.

its annoying as hell when someone has that going and you hear constant random noise from them.
Mute bans are annoying. Competitive players always mute the other team and vice versa.
Unfortunately there is no way to distinguish if I muted for gameplay purpose or for the person being annoying so the ban just assumes you were being annoying.
If you have a Kinect I’d recommend just unplugging it and not using it with your Xbox EVER unless you’re using a Kinect specific feature/game. However if you don’t then you got mute banned because the other people you played with like to mute everyone else.
