Why did my KD drastically increase?

I went from a 2.2 KD to near a 2.5

What caused this?

AI kills now count in your kd. Thus, everyone’s kd has jumped in the past week or so.

Yes and no. Apparently they were already counting the incidents when an AI enemy killed you as a death in your K/D, so they felt that something needed to be done to balance the scales just a bit.
