Why did Jorge called Halsey mother? He is Spartan II, so he was taken from his real family. Halsey also treats Jorge as her son or at least family. Is there any connection between them except Halsey running Spartan II program?
I can see why you would think that because jorge does have a rather interesting accent but if you turn on captions he actually says “Ma’am” not mom haha

Yeah, multiple people have thought the same thing because of the accent. And as you rightly put, he is an S-II so naturally she would treat him definitely compared to the rest of Noble Team.

Yea this is blowing my mind, I was certain that it was mom and that it was because he was a Spartan II.

As the voice actor is British-Nigerian, and being British myself, I have always heard “Ma’am” even without the subtitles, but I can see where American players would get confused as “Ma’am” spoken from from a British person sounds a lot like “Mom” to an American.

Yeah, well I’m Polish
I have never heard a person with a British accent say ma’am the way that Jorge did, but I can totally understand why it’s pronounced that way. His deep voice probably doesn’t help in trying to differentiate between the two also. But he most certainly says ma’am not mom.
