I just got banned for 60 minutes for some reason and it says I don’t have the crimson dlc anymore even though I have the limited edition??? Help
I just got xp banned a few hours ago for absolutely NO reason. Never been banned in any game in my life. Don’t even use a mic. Only betrayals I do are by accident (and in games like Flood, which get hectic, it’s GONNA happen by accident). Middle of a match, I get a message saying “this account has been temporarily banned from earning xp”. What the hell? No explanation why

You most likely got the ban for quitting multiple games in a small amount of time.

That was me and my little sister, who is ten years old playing. She saw me playing this game and wanted to learn how. So I signed her in as a guest account and we started off in some Flood matches. This is her very first time in a competetive, online game. While she (obviously) got her -Yoink- kicked, she still had a lot of fun spending time with me running around trying to avoid the zombies.
She’s ten years old, I’m 23. I figured that we could have a good time in free for all game types like Flood, though we did try some SWAT when she got a little more familiar with the controls. I wasn’t playing to win, I was playing so that she could have a good time playing online with her big brother.
I’m not one to be dramatic. I’m not one to over react, either. Never have been, at least with video games. But if I seriously can’t play Halo 4 with my ten year old sister without it being autobanned for boosting (obviously, she’s not getting kills, but she’s moving around trying not to die for christ’s sake), then I will turn this game in. Seriously, this is a deal breaker for me.
And for those who wanna go ahead and call me a booster, I could care less. Do you know it for a fact? No? Then please I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking… Not you, Snowy Ghost, lol. I mean the -yoinks- that just assume the banhammer is infallible

Its hard because its either one or the other. they allow guests no matter what skill base meaning that players cna boost or they give out xp bans cause stats make it seem that a player was boostin. This is a hard one and i cant come up with a soltion. Only one is having a guest playlist where you dont earn xp

I know, but this is just still so stupid. The stats show varying survival time in Flood, medals were earned despite her doing very poorly. Does this not prove it wasn’t idling? In fact, why do I have to prove anything? I just wanna play this damn game and get around all this red tape. What do I tell my sister tomorrow when she asks to play again? Sorry, we can’t because big brother’s account will get xp banned again, maybe permenantly this time because you suck?

No offense dude, but yeah…that’s exactly what you tell her. How about big brother get her her own account? It’s like 8 bucks for a month long account. If she plays enough after that, then get her a year…nothing for you to worry about then.
I get your argument, but this is the way of the online world now. Either you are going to have to accept it, or stop playing. I don’t mean to come across as a jerk, definitely not my intention, but those really are your only options. 343 isn’t going to change the way the banhammer works, because it works most of the time. If you really aren’t boosting though, 8 bucks is a small price to pay to play with your little sis.

I kinda doubt she’d respond. I know 343 is trying hard, and I was actually a part of the whole Specialization Code email debacle. I was one of many thousands of players who did not get that email. I was on the forums for days in there official spec code email thread. I was among the very few that had the issue resolved, the code being sent directly to my Xbox Live account. However, that was only after days of diligent forum watching and posts. Before that thread got removed, it was up to almost 1,000 pages in less than a week. However, many still never recieved that code.
Unfortunately for this particular situation, the stats DO imply boosting, and the only person that knows for a fact otherwise is me and a ten year old sibling. 343 isn’t gonna make a special case for me. They’ll just assume I’m boosting. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt, though. It is appreciated

Really sorry to hear about the banhammer misfiring on you. It sucks when you’re simply trying to enjoy a game with your siblings and you wind up punished for it. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything that can be done in situations like these, other than keep on playing for the sake of playing! 
I saw in a previous thread of yours that you were directed to this thread if you have any XP ban-related questions, but if in the future you have any further questions, if you could post them there, that would be excellent!
