Today (or at least i think) Microsoft released xcloud on ios devices and widows computers, I test it out (it was very laggy) and one of the games I test is halo 5.
I open a couple req packs and the only cosmetic i get today is the buccaneer armor. Then later tonight i enter halo 5 on my xbox, I decide to customize my character a bit and I see the nightfall armor. I never had this armor previously and I didn’t get the helmet. I only use Silver req packs that don’t give you the nightfall armor. I never watched the Tv-show and the closest thing i have was when i clicked the nightfall link on halo mcc last week. Im not complaining and i don’t really like the helmet but the armor looks pretty good. I just want to know how.
The same thing happened to me, my guess is that they give it away when you register and participate in the forums
