i didnt know you could get banned for not getting kills i got banned yesterday. i play with my four year old brother and he doesnt get kills very often it just entertains him is there a way to contack and remove the ban or i just have to wait it out.
i am new to this i just got reach 3 days ago so i really hope i know what im talking about

If the ban was received over 72 hours ago, its likely it will last for four more days, totalling a one week ban.
I was playing Reach last night and I sat in the matchmaking lobby for like five minutes as it kept finding players, then they’d disappear and I’d start searching again. This repeated many times until it finally found a match for me. Then after that game I got a warning saying if I quit any more I’d get banned. I played one firefight game tonight and immediately a teammate quits. Then my game get extremely laggy. Anything I do takes 1 to 2 seconds for a response. I sat through the entire 20 game just to avoid getting banned. At the end of the game the other guy quits and suddenly my game acts normal, not all laggy. I play for the last minute and a half and finish the game. I get my credits for playing, then it says “restarting search due to matchmaking problems” or something. Then I message saying I’ve quit too many times and am now banned. What is that?! My internet connection was fine. I even checked out a youtube video on my computer to see if my internet was slow, while I was waiting for the laggy game to end and it loaded real quick, no problems. The only times I ever quit a game in Reach is if my entire team quits on me and I’m stuck in a long game by myself. This seems extremely unfair that I was banned tonight for quitting when I haven’t quit a game in a long time.

Solution: Upgrade your internet by contacting your ISP, or tell them you are having problems with online gaming, see if you can sort it out with them.
Quit bans are ten minutes long, not that long to wait.
that can’t be the reason as i have NEVER not not gotten any kills in a game like i said i average 15-25 kills a game and …if someone checked my history they’d see that something is wrong…i never quit games either. i don’t even see the point of AFKing for a few credits when i can play a game and get 4000 at a time if not more.

I’ve looked through a few of your game and I can see you have a ton of games were you have a lot of deaths and roughly one or two kills, with your K/D being 1.15, it makes me think you were AFKing.
thanks for getting back to me, honestly i don’t know what its showing on your screen but i haven’t done anything of the sort. I’m not trying to bluff my way out of something. if i did the crime i just wouldn’t bother because evidence would show that i had cheated. but in this case i haven’t and never will. I’m not sure what its showing you but i don’t understand my history shows my latest game to all be 23 kills 24 kills etc.

That’s your latest games, I looked through some from earlier in February and you have a lot of games were you get about 1-3 kills and a ton of deaths, but when your K/D is 1.15, it makes me think highly likely you were banned for AFKing.
i really don’t see the deaths…so i take it I’m going to have to wait out a 2 week ban. can this not even be shortened so i don’t have to wait so long…i’m trying to compromise, as you said thats what you can see. which is a shock to me. because judging my skill theres no way i could only get 1-2 kills and a lot of deaths it just doesn’t make sense why would i AFK, what could i possibly gain?..what 100 credits… highly pointless. i m going to change my password to make sure I’m protected. if i have to take this punishment i would be a first time offender how come i get two weeks? surely a few days make sense right?

Its a two week ban, meaning it is probably a bit more serious than AFK boosting, I honestly can’t see from your game history what you have done but the ban hammer is 99.9999% accurate.
so indirectly your telling me ill have to wait it out. seeing as there’s nothing you can do besides look at my game history. its a shame that many people like myself who are truly innocent have to fall. i thought this forum was to help people who actually needed help. but it seems as though you are just re-assuring me the system is fool proof. guess i better start playing COD or something.

It has been said many times that 343 rarely monitor this topic, it was left for the community to catch people out which we do most of the times.
As far as I can see, you AFK’d, you got banned, you will be unbanned in two weeks, feel free to go play other games in that time.
i was just reading another thing which says that people can boost on oni sword base with the target locator and a comment from you approves that…isn’t that cheating?
just looked at all the games I’ve played from the past two months and there is no sign of AFKing…could you show me a possible screenshot of what you looked at. is there anyway for me to speak to someone who can evaluate my problem and help me further?

I will when I get a chance later on, but as I said, you aren’t going to admit to AFKing/suspisions of it, but I see a ton of games with HIGH deaths and LOW kills, as I said, with someone of your K/D level for that to be happening often, is rare.

Nope, it is NOT cheating, you are playing the game legitimately and not doing anything to break the guidelines.

Yesterday I was temporarily banned from earning credits in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and can’t figure out why? Please help.
