Does your ban notification simply say you are temporarily banned or does it have ‘two weeks’ on it?

They can’t change the messages, they are hard coded into the game as far as I know.

What is up with this crazy mute ban system? Is this why no one ever talks in my games? Its flawed and needs to be fixed. I couldn’t tell you how long I’ve been mute ban for. Team work is key in game so how can I make call outs if im muted? There is a mute opinion for a reason. I hope all these bans dont hurt Halo 4…
How do I get unmuted? or how long does it last? I cant even enjoy the game for what it is. This is pushing me to play other games so I can talk with people and dont need to deal with this mute ban.

I agree that the mute ban system is absolutely terrible.
Have you played in Arena or MLG? It has become a habit to mute all players on the opposite team which results in a mute ban.

I think season 8 or so was the last time I played arena.

It wears off with time. People just don’t know how much time. Probably weeks, but it might be months.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much if you weren’t mute banned you’d find that everybody playing this game is in Party Chat and your call outs would fall on deaf ears anyways.
I don’t know why I was banned or how long it’s supposed to last. First my GT was banned and then immediately after I got the message saying my console was banned. Is there a way for me to check for myself somewhere on Waypoint? If not, my GT is the one I’m logged in as and it would really be a relief to figure this out. Thanks

I am not sure what I done, but I’m sure all the “Derankers” in Halo 3 got me banned.
I played and played, I slept, got back on. I’m perm banned and my console is banned for 3 months, ON BOTH Of my accounts.
Fluff oN Top & MLG Boxxyyyy are the names.
If you think I cheated, I really didn’t. The other team quits as soon as the game starts or like halfway through so they can build up losses and sell their accounts, so they make boosters.
