Then we got a message saying that the console and the accounts were temp banned from earning credits. Not sure why, i googled it and it said possibly because she got little amount of kills or none at all, but not sure if thats why or what. Someone please help, it would greatly be appreciated. There is no way to prove if you were AFKing or just playing bad, so the game banned you.

It will last from 24-48 hours for a first time ban.

You can not tell if someone else is no, as for someone else using your account, your account is your responsibility, if something happens on it, there is no difference, you should be more careful with your account.

WTF? 343 needs to support halo reach a little better, because this is the same -Yoink- that ruined halo 2 back in the day, company not giving a -Yoink- about the game

  1. It’s not their game, Bungie made it and release it in September 2010.
  2. They have bigger things to focus on, they announced a new Halo Trilogy last year.
  3. They don’t even have to support this game, but they still deliver MM Updates monthly.

Last Friday night my account was permanently banned from halo 3 while my son was using it for inactivity. I am 49 years old I play halo 3 only and have had this account for 5 years! I understand he was doing wrong but I find this punishment to be VERY excessive considering I see players inactive all the time. Can you please help me in reducing the time from being permanent to a lesser punishment? I really enjoy halo 3 and it is the only game I play. He will never play on this gamer tag again and assure you it will never happen again.

Wrong forum to report this but unless you are inactive every single game you are in this is unlikely that this would happen. It’s probably a bug in the system. contact xbox live support or send a nice email to microsoft/343i. Hoped this helped.

Hey guys. Would like to know why I was temporarily banned from receiving credits on Halo Reach, through reading this thread, the only reason that I can come up with is the fact that a friend who is new to Xbox and has never played Halo before has been playing with me on my Xbox and getting 0 kills in several games, my gamer tag is Cozmic11, please reply ASAP, thanks

This is the universal problem the community has with the BanHammer. Unfortunately there really isn’t too much that can be done. The computer program used doesn’t look at the video footage is uses the stats. It should be lifted in 24 hours if it was a first time. And there are 2 ways I can think of to make sure this doesn’t happen.

  1. Play Customs- especially if you aren’t concerned with credits.

This is the worse thing my 16 year old has ever done THANK GOD! Also, I don’t think my parenting skills need to be questioned. In fact I have two boys one is 21 years old a junior in college and the other a junior in high school. Both kids are honor roll all A plus students, drug and alcohol free and NEVER get in trouble. I am 49 years old I have been with my wife 35 years and married 25 years! Please don’t assume I am a bad parent! Do you happen to have any children? Are you a forum administrator?

  1. You DON’T get banned permanently for simply being ‘inactive’, you or your son has done something else that one or the other isn’t admitting.
  2. He wasn’t saying you were a bad parent, he’s simply saying to watch over him more when he’s playing to make sure he isn’t breaking rules.

I was banned for achievement boosting with friends using guest accounts. I’m curious to know what the duration of the ban is. I think one week.

Hi there! I know that doing this is shamed upon by the fans and stuff but its for experimenting… i wont be using it after i test it. Is credit boosting using the ONI sword base method banable? Many have said it’s not and that if it was 343i would have made it unable to do so, but I just want to make sure. If someone who knows a good deal on this matter could comment, that would be wonderful
