How do i get a ban lifted. I was banned from halo reach and it has been over a year?
If you have been banned for over a year, it is a permanent ban, your ban will not get lifted.
Alright, so I was playing firefight doubles last night and stopped for about 2 or 3 games and only got 18 kills during those games so the guy i was playing with could get a daily challenge, but now I keep getting a message saying I am banned from earning cr. People have told me it’s because it looked like I was boosting. I was wondering if this ban can get reversed, if its permament, and if those firefight matches are why I was banned. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
I am a regular Halo:Reach player, this morning I got a message that my account was banned from receiving credits. I am not sure why i was banned from receiving credits. Please can someone explain to me why.

Nope, you were banned for AFKing on SIX occasions

Enjoy your ban.
All 6 occasions were the firefight matches where my friend was getting the 180 kills last night for the daily challenge. How long will this BS ban last?

You sat and got free cR out of it which is deemed as AFK Boosting, if it is a first offence, it will last for 24-48 hours.
Next time don’t sit still, your friend is capable of using all the weapons from FF Doubles in Score Attack.
The help is very appreciated. For future reference though will it be counted as AFK boosting if I run around a little or do I need to get kills?

You need to participate, not just get a few kills and not play, play the game as intended.

Full-party boosting with AFK Guests

First ban is 24-48 hours long.
Enjoy your ban.
> > This is totally my own fault and I understand why I got banned. I failed to read the rules on gameplay in multiplayer matchmaking, prior to starting to play. In my defense I have only had the console and Halo CE for about a month and was totally unaware that any kind of banning system was in place. I guess I got the whole concept completely wrong…I just wanted to play with other people and kill flood…how was I to know there were rules!

I assure you It wasn’t my intention and i just thought that I was a bit rubbish (which I was lol). It’s not like I stood still the whole tine, i got in there and ran about trying to kill the enemy, but what surprised me was how hard it was to kill others! My assualt rifle was no match for others with superior weapons (grenade launchers etc) but that’s all I had! How can I improve my kill rate, or at least start off with a better weapon?

How is this encouraging people to interact with others online. Excluding people purely on their non-ability to play well is just wrong in any society - real world or virtual.

Ok ban has been lifted after just 24hrs. Thanks again for your help. Needless to say am staying away from matchmaking until I’m alot better at it! Pity though because it’s sort of tainted the game now. Wouldn’t it be great if the system could match us up with people of equal ability…ie novice players with novice players…it wouldn’t be hard to add that to the game options.

A TrueSkill System is in Reach, but it doesn’t take it into account in the slightest and probably won’t ever, The Arena is a way to see your skill level, you get rated each day and you will be put into a Division after three days (?) of ratings from Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Onyx, Iron the worst, Onyx the best.

ahhhhh ace! I’ve got Reach so will give that a go tomorrow. Cheers!
I have a mute ban.
But the thing is that I don’t talk online, unless I am playing with some options in the MLG Playlist.
And here’s the catch: In the MLG playlist, you will be muted! I mute the other team, so that I don’t hear them, and therefore I can hear my teammates. It’s normal for people to mute the other team in the MLG playlist. (It actually has become a habit for me in all playlists)
I don’t rage either, or yell, or scream when I’m with said teammates. So why would this account be mute banned?
I cannot have this at all. I’d like to have some sort of online practice prior to the MLG 2012 opener, and I cannot have a mute ban on this account. It’s quite random that I even got one considering I rarely use my Astros on MM.

There is nothing you can do about mute bans, its a common fact that playing the MLG Playlist will get you a mute ban because people mute you to not hear their callouts, mic or not.
Sadly it’s a flawed system that will likely not get fixed.
Whenever I log onto Halo Reach, these 2 messages pop up on my screen: “This Xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning earning credits” and “This account bas been temporarily banned from earning credits”. This ban seems more than temorary because it is still in affect after 10 hours of me getting the original message. To my knowledge, I didn’t do anything, and I am unaware of any known problems with my account. I am playing on Xbox Live and my Gamertag is iiCensored. Please help me!!!
First of all, matters like this should be posted in the Why did I get banned? The Official Thread.
Second of all, you were banned for AFK Boosting, proof: http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/gamestats.aspx?gameid=750833256&player=iiCensored
If it’s a first offence it will last from 24-48 hours.
Enjoy your ban.
*sigh Ok, thanks.
> *sigh Ok, thanks.
Also, try to avoid AFKing in the future to avoid bans like this.
Yea, I didn’t actually know that Bungie would do this, because I was just creating a website for a gaming community, and then I came back to these messages. To be honest, it kind of ruined my day because I have school off today and I was going to earn credits to get a new helmet, haha.
