I go banned from Halo 3 matchmaking a year or so ago but I didn’t cheat, or mo my rank what so ever.
I was doing the gamertag glitch where you can change your gamertag. Yes i guess in a way I “modded” but
I never modded for my advantage against other players. So can you please look into this?

How do I find out why my account was banned in the first place? I cant agrue why I should not have been banned if I dont know why I was banned. If it is legit how long will it last? Also my fiance wants to know why even when I am logged out why it blocks her account as well. Is it because we are on the family plan? My fiance is still learning how to play the game on verses. She can do ok in firefight and campaign just not so well in the competitive which is what we have sstarted playing so she can get better. Is that why we have been banned? We played a few games together last night then went to bed. Then tonight we tried to get on it said that our ability to earn credits had been banned. If we still play the verses mode without earning credits will it prolong our ban if she is not getting enough kills?

If this is your first ban, it should only be 24 hours.

I understand that having AFK guests can be used for credit farming, but I earned less than 1000cr between the time we started and the time we got banned. It’s obvious we were not credit farming. I haven’t read anywhere that its against the rules to help others get achievements. Maybe they system needs to be changed… like a custom game mode you can log into and play with friends and not earn credits free from the ban hammer. I never go afk in matchmaking or quit matches just because I don’t like the map, why should 3 or 4 people who are just trying to get achievements and are not affecting anybody else get banned? just ban the party from earning credits until they disperse from each other.

The system which is used to track AFK Boosting is flawed, it simply searches for games were you have 0 kills and many deaths, if there are multiple ones of these, you will be banned for ‘AFK Boosting’, the only solution is to keep it in Firefight until you are good enough to not have 0 kills every match.
The reason BOTH of you are banned, or the console is, is to prevent you from going on to another account just to get more cR, in other words, bypassing the ban.

Can I ask what kind of ban/how long was the ban?
It helps when trying to see how you were banned.

Boosting is boosting, it’s against the rules if one or more players were NOT playing, it counts as AFK Boosting, if ALL players are real humans (or aliens) then carry on boosting, Full Party Boosting is allowed.

By looking at this game of SWAT on Boardwalk, you and both your girlfriend if she is ‘DOIN x Bitties’, both did not die, or get ANY kills, one game is enough to trigger the ban hammer, accidental or not, you should have quit out if you were not playing.
You were banned for AFKing, the ban will last for 24-48 hours if it is a first offence.
She was a guest on my account, that was me and a friend playing later that night when I was already banned, and we didn’t even play that game we turned off the xbox before the game because we don’t like the map.

I’m sad to tell you now that you were falsely banned, as far as I can see in your game history, you are clean, the banhammer works like this to track AFKers,
If you have lets say, a few games were you get 0 kills, even if you were playing and moving and dying, you can get banned for AFK Boosting because the game only tracks kills, not movement.
The ban will most likely last 24-48 hours if it is a first time ban.
Also, your friend will soon get banned in future for AFKing as shown here: SWAT on Battle Canyon, he did not get a single kill or death in that game, unless he quit out, he was AFKing.

343 themselves rarely watch this topic, they leave it to Community Members to explain it, a fix for the AFK banning is barely possible unless Reach will somehow track movement but it seems like it won’t.
Sadly not, your ban cannot be reversed, you will just have to wait out the ban.

Yeah, I know it sucks, it happens to many daily, some people voice it here and others ignore it, sad to say it will never be fixed.
hi i was temp baned from recieving credits on my consol and mt account an dont know what i was doing wrong i want to know so i dont repeat the process again and would like to know how long the ban is for i wish you would include those in the message that shows up on my screen sayin im baned it would help prevent repeat offenders my gamertag is tremt70 thank you
