I do need to know what I’ve done to get credit banned please detail my case as I really didn’t deserve it nor will I sit idly by
Last night, I played Halo Reach Multiplayer Matchmaking with one of my friends. I’m pretty terrible, but I was actually starting to get good at the end of the night. She, however, maybe for 1-2 kills in the handful of games we played, since she’s a really new player, and she’s still learning. Would her 0 kill games get me banned? I don’t think I’ve ever dropped out of a game or done anything else wrong, and it’s the only thing I can think of. Is there any way to find out exactly why I was baned? Or maybe how long?
I was playing Halo Reach and while I did play match making a lot today, i decided to join Custom Games. While in custom games or 30 mins, twice a screen msg popped up saying that I was banned from earning credits. Why and for how long this time again? last time i got banned was when I went AFK 3 times in a row during Griffball matches because they are quick games and sometimes your avatar stays in the queue with the rest. I understand that ban. So, how long now and for what reason? I am so fricken close to Noble rank. This is totally frusterating. plz respond!
Please reverse ban, because I am downloading something on my computer and so all day I have been having really bad lag and disconnects due to my DLing (installing N:TW). So some games have been disconnects, etc.

Your ban is fair, you have way to many BTB games with 0 kills and you even had some games with -3 and-4. You allso have many penalties on your games.

I cant remember if I been banned twice, what is 3rd offense? a Month?
I was surprised this evening to see I was banned. Played last night with a group of friends, also had a guest (I’m sure people say they had a guest alot) but I really did.
Game history shows me and my guest playing various games such as campaign & firefight (both of which she had kills too) and then we moved on to matchmaking, once she kinda got the hang of the controls.
She did horribly bad most rounds, never went negative but only got a point or so every few rounds. I did not get any extra credits by her sucking at living dead… so why am I banned because my noob guest never played Halo before? Makes me not want to have my friends play with me… kinda defeats the purpose of xbox live all together, doesn’t it?

You posted THE only game out of 10 games that were over 0 kills. Plus the first game in matchmaking was a -2. Just by looking at the stats (which is all the banhammer does) it looks like AFK. Honestly if you have someone on with you and they are that terrible it’s best to just play firefight. Getting 0 kills and 0 assists 8/10 looks bad. Plus you have to remember on team games there are other people who pay for xbox live. Your guest takes their fun away by just running around and not doing anything but getting killed.

So basically what you’re saying is, if I have a friend/guest, walking around on a living dead round (who has never played and is terrible at the game)- she is ruining someone else’s fun… being killed. Isn’t that the point of matchmaking in the first place… kill other people. So sorry, but I dont think she “ruined anyone else’s fun”. Since when do people not gang up on the noob and think its ruining their fun? The team games we played were all with friends- the only exposure she had to other people was in living dead.
BTW, The first game that was a -2 she fell off the edge- not used to the controls yet. I wouldn’t be pissed if this ban was legit, but its total BS because there are more games in the history that night that showed she was an actual person and played the game.

I’m not debating whether or not there was a real person playing. I’m just saying what it looks like from an outside stand point in the most basic views. Because the banhammer is a computer program that looks at stats from recent games.
4 of the links you posted are to custom firefight or to custom campaign, no custom games can get you banned for being AFK, and the program doesn’t look at them, or the fact that there is zero reasons to bring an AFK guest into those matches, because custom games get you no credits.
What the system apparently does look at is this, 0 kills 0 assists, and bring a guest into a living deadmakes it look like you are doing it just to kill them and boost awards.
Lastly I said TEAM games, you and the guest played plenty of team slayer style games, I wouldn’t like it if I was counting on all my team mates to be getting some kills, and I see at the end they went -12 with 0 kills. It’s frustrating.
All this considered if its the first time ban, its over in 24 hours. So it will be over soon.
How long will I be banned for?
Yesterday I played with two guests on my account in matchmaking, who have never played any of the Halo’s before. They sucked for the most part but never stood still and tried their hardest. At one point, one had 4 kills and the other had 5 (yay, they were getting better). We probably played about 5-6 games. No cheating, no betraying and no quiting. But they did have a few games with 0 kills. I will assume this is why I am getting the temporary ban.
My gamertag is ClearTunic50. Hopefully, it’s not that long, since I was just trying to introduce Halo to some friends.

Can somebody please explain to my why my commendations do not work anymore?
I was playing campaign and I tried to do the quick level thing in the second mission in oni base.
Now I can play al I want and get the normal credits (70 at the end), but my commendations do not work anymore since the last 5 weeks.
Okay I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing wrong but this is the third time I’ve been banned. This time it started on the 30Th or 31st of December and I’m still unable to earn credits. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong to cause me get banned, I’m new to playing the halo franchise I just received my Xbox and the Xbox halo reach download for Christmas so I literally haven’t been playing the game that long. I don’t know anything about modding or hacking the game/system or anything like that so I just want to know what I’m doing that keeps causing me to get temporarily banned so I can avoid continuously doing it.

You have many games with 0 kills, you need to get kills when you play. Tip is to go play some more Firefight before you go in to MP.
I dont understand why I got banned either. I had a guest over and shes new to Halo and I was showing her how to play with some of my friends and it banned me from getting credits. Thats a crock of crap. How do I fix this?
So I think im credit banned. But no message is popping up. It totals up the credits earned at the end of the game, but doesnt add them to the grand total i have saved up. Thoughts? If I did get credit banned, id assume its for the game i played with a modder, tank turrets on a warthog and all that. GT is Dark Clown 88

Yeah, apparently you can be banned for not being good at the game lol The system thinks you are not playing when you don’t earn any kills, and thinks you are just trying to earn easy credits by not doing anything, also known as “afk’ing”.
