And where would you read that message, if you get banned.
I got banned and I never received any message.
I NEVER recieved a “banned” message on my xbox or account. I just got back from a 6 month deployment without playing xbox (hard to do in a REAL war-zone), to my account stripped. I’m now to the point of “whatever”. I would like the situation explained to my though. Last time I checked, I paid hundreds of dollars to play the Halo games (consoles, games, live cards), so I’m the customer. So what the heck? I’m dead serious when I said I didn’t cheat, what the heck is “afking”??
Boogy…
There normally won’t be a ban time frame message. You just have to wait it out. Just remember, if you did something wrong, you deserve the ban and just have to deal with the results.
My son was banned and he does not do cheats. He plays with his cousin in another state. Some people that have gotten into their game have cheats so they can not die. Not sure why he and the xbox have been banned from receiving credits. Is this temperary? I do not understand. He does not do cheats or anything else that is on the list. Maybe sits idle for a few min. when using the restroom.

Is your SN here his GT?
Just looking at recent games that the GT ATA Ace has, He had 5 games that he either had 0 or negative kills. And then the last two he quit out of. Although he isn’t doing any cheats he definitely isn’t playing the game the way it was intended. If he does want to just mess around with his out of state cousin may I suggest firefight doubles. Getting no kills will get you banned. It should only last for 24 hours.
Hey guys,
So I’ve been mute banned for nearly 4 months now, and I have a feeling this ban may be permanent. Can anyone tell me if mute bans really are pemrmanent? I never said anything racist, creepy or something that would break the Live rules, so the penalty seems a little harsh.
Sometimes, as soon as I’m in a game lobby, I’ll hear snippets of voices before they become muted. Is this just the banhammer being a bit slow to kick in, or something else?
Thanks for reading
I played on Reach today. I’m still banned. =.=
So i have a credit ban on my console and account, it says it’s temporary, but there is no indication to how long it will last or for the reason i was banned? any help in these two regards would be helpful.
My telly caught fire, yes actually caught fire, and as you can imagine i was slightly preoccupied, could this erm… distraction we shall call it, have had anything to do with it?
After a night of Halo Reach Fun with my kids and grand kids I find today that my console and account is temporarily banned from getting credits. We did not intentionally do any of the things that gets people banned. We wanted four players to go together so used the new 343 maps. We had up to 3 guest accounts active, tried a lot of new maps, and often got zero points during matchmaking even though all of us were trying. We were not intentionally doing any of the things that other forums say gets people banned. We were just having holiday visit fun. My grandson that used his own account is not temporarily banned but is upset that he cannot get credit for anything as my console is banned. What do I have to do to get this ban cancelled?
We are now on Rock Band 3 and having fun, but my grandson, Xboxinator, wants to get back on Halo at some point and actually get credit. He goes back home tomorrow so I need the ban lifted today.
I feel I have a similar story as OneGreyDude. Late last night my sister and her friend decided to play Halo (don’t ask me why but they did). They played on my account with her friend playing as a guest. Now they didn’t do great but they certainty were not bad enough to be considered AFK. I can’t find any reason why my account got credit banned. They did say they got booted from a game, but only one.
Does anyone know why they/I got credit banned? I don’t really care to get it lifted as I’m not planning on playing today and I’ve been told these bans last 24 hours. However I would like to know why it happened so I can make sure it doesn’t happen again, as I’ve been told the second ban is quite sever.
Thank you!
I myself have a similar story but a little more confusing. I was splitscreening with my cousin’s girlfriend trying to teach her to play first person shooter games, she is beyond awful at halo. I was hit by the banhammer for someone playing on their own account on my console and not knowing how to play. I can understand that 343i and bungie think that the banhammer is accurate because it goes off of the stats of 3 games, but it would be nice if you could appeal the allegations put against you so the innocent people don’t get punished with the bad. I even have videos saved in my file share that shows that someone was playing (just very horribly).

After further investigation into the cause of my credit ban, I may have found an explanation. For three games in a row my sisters friend was unable to get a kill or assist. However if this is the reason for the ban, I must say it seems harsh. I’ve looked over the game history of KingCampa and OneGreyDude and they seem to have been banned for this same reason.
Based solely on this evidence I must pose the question: Is the criteria for a Credit Ban too strict?
I believe that the criteria for the credit ban is too strict. From what i am gathering, the only way you can remove the ban while it is active is to PM a admin and state your case asking them to look into it. The only time you should do this though is if you have sufficient evidence supporting your case, showing that you are innocent.

Right, you may actually have a valid case. However, if it is just a 24 hour ban it may be more prudent to just let it go. Unless the ban is longer then 24 hours.
Thank you. I plan to wait out the 24 hours and see if it is removed, but i just logged on and now it said that my console is banned from earning credits as well. Could that be because she was playing on the same console?

I’ve been led to believe it is the same length of time for account and console.
Much appreciated.
my acocutn was banned forever and console banned im not sure why D: (username I r Lazy XD)
My uncle got credit banned yesterday and hasn’t had the game even a week. I know for a fact he hasn’t modded or glitched. He has played on matchmaking a lot but hasn’t done anything to get banned. Is it possible he was banned for ranking up too fast?
Just to follow through and let everyone know, my console and account ban is gone after 24 hours. My family did not have as good a time with Halo Reach during their visit as they could have had, but we did enjoy Rock Band 3 instead.
