chasingparker - It sounds like your son went away from his controller which is a no-no. Idling in game is discouraged and usually results in a temporary ban. If this is the first, it shouldn’t last long.

the best thing you can do is wait the ban out, in the future when your son goes AFC(away from console) either play the game for him or tell him to quit to avoid getting banned again.

If this is the first time and it just happened this morning, to the best of my knowledge it should just be a 24 hour ban.
GT= Keevo073. I have a quit ban… well a msg that tells me not to quit again. Maybe I deserved it (I generally only quit due to team killing or cheaters) BUT why is it that EVERYONE who signs into my xbox gets the same ban msg??? Shouldn’t it be for GT only? It’s a bit unfair to players who haven’t quit to have the same msg. Another question is how long until the ban gets lifted? I have had it for 2 days now and I have not quit one game. I’m not disputing my warning, just wish to have my questions answered please.
One question, u know what I don’t get why they should just get rid of probation banning thing because when I ever quit games I always have to do something important and I just got band twice for quiting games in halo reach and they should really get rid of probation crap on halo matchmaking really it is really stupid I don’t know why they put probation in matchmaking when ever u quit games, u know what 343 should do is get rid of it and more and more people would like halo more, and if 343 ever reads this message u should change the game how it should really play and not some stupid probation just sayin but…ya and think about it no more probation

The problem is probation/quit bans are a joke, not to mention being horribly broken. I think I spent an entire week on probation once. WHY? What is it based on? When does probation expire? Something to to do with how long it’s been since you quit last? I think I went a full 24 hours on probation without quitting, played 30+ games, then got quit banned again from a single quit or lag out. I mean WTF? It should at least be based on the amount of games you actually completed. You shouldn’t still be on probation 20 or so games after you last quit. It’s been said before, but they should also consider credit penalties for quitting since a 10 minute ban doesn’t really work. Arguably, it’s totally pointless anyway since people will quit no matter what.

OK just a quick question i have quit maybe 7 games in the three months that i have had live 2 days ago i got a message when i signed it that if i quit again i would be banned i will admit that after that message i was ok with it but i started matchmaking and i quit because of hackers jumping around so i was banned and i was fine with it but now 2 days later it pops up with the same message when i get on will it ever go away?
does any1 know why i hav been banned from earning credits on my account and console i havent done anything wrong apart from play the game this is a joke all i did was play halo a gd couple of hours as i had nuffin to so now this happens some1 from 343 help me plz

I have a random on my friends list who resets challenges on a daily basis. All he does is sit in lobbies by himself and reset challenges and collects tons of credits. He reaches the credit cap twice a day. After he reaches it the first time, he sets his clock forward and does it all again. He gets I think about 240,000 credits a day from resetting challenges. I don’t understand how he hasn’t had his rank reset to Recruit and permanently banned from earning credits. I don’t think it’s fair for him to receive these credits because he didn’t work for them. It takes him about an hour to collect 240,000 credits. He doesn’t deserve his rank either because it isn’t legit, he didn’t earn it. He cheated for it. So could someone please reset his rank to Recruit and permanently ban him from earning credits? This is the definition of a cheater, and nothing has been done about it. The last time I posted this I was threatened with a ban from the mods for giving out the cheater’s gamertag. I can provide whoever can ban this guy with his gamertag. He also spams me messages bragging about how many credits he “earns.” My friends and I have also filed several complaints against him and nothing has happened. I also often match up with him in Team Snipers, even though I have avoided him. He usually has 3 AFK guests and jumps off the map and betrays his AFK guests. I’ve seen him go -100 before. If someone would do something about this cheater I would greatly appreciate it.

I was just banned from obtaining credits, I believe I shouldn’t have been. I was boosting the Halo Reach Map pack achievements (because I suck at the game due to visual problems), I barely obtained any credits while boosting for around 7 straight hours, again because I suck at the game. I believe I was banned because I had to plug in a second controller for a couple games so we would have enough people to play without random people joining in and ruining the game.
I have previously asked forum mods at Xbox’s website and they said that boosting achievements was perfectly legit so I could do so.
I wasn’t boosting credits I was boosting some achievements, also it didn’t ban me during the MP boosting seasons I was in today, it decided to ban me from credits while I was playing co-op campaign for the weekly challenge, 10 seconds from obtaining the weekly challenge which screwed me out of finally getting some points for the day.
I’m not sure how long I’m banned for, it says temp but it doesn’t give me a time limit.
I would like to be unbanned ASAP and I would like it if someone gave me the credits that I rightfully earned from obtaining the weekly challenge, that I now will not be able to obtain since the game says I did the, but received no credits for doing so as it banned me right near the end of the level.
Also another added noted just to help my case a bit. I obtained a little under 25K in almost 7 straight hours of achievement boosting, and 6K of that was due to completing two of the daily challenges, and another chunk of it (not sure how much) was from leveling up at least one but I think two accommodations, so really I barely got any real credits, also obviously I wasn’t credit boosting considering I did almost the absolute worse every time I played, again because I suck at the game.
