There is only one problem with that though…I have never cheated at Halo. Never have, never will. I don’t quit games. I don’t AFK (in fact a few weeks ago I didn’t even know what the term AFK was or referred to). All I know is that my girlfriend sucks at Halo. I was looking through the recent games that she played, and she did end up with a lot of 0 kill games. So maybe this “banhammer” isn’t completely accurate. And we got the message during the middle of a game of infection. We played SWAT and then Infection, and she didn’t really get any kills in them because she has never played them before. So are you sure that the banhammer is always right?
TBH I’m kinda thinking of picking up MW3 just so we don’t get banned from playing because she is a noob.

Personally i believe that it is 100% accurate, as i have sometimes guests who don’t know how to play a game, move inside the maps and many times get 0 kills. But i have never had a ban. So, my personal opinion is that getting 0 kills is not going to ban you. But that’s just only an opinion i can’t be 100% sure.I don’t know how this thing works! Btw, you can pick up MW3 it’s a great game played it on PS3…

Same thing happened to me. My friend only got 6 hours and I have been banned from credits for 4 days now!

Near as I can tell you get “perma-muted” when you get muted a lot for A:)Being an annoying tw@t/squeaker, B:) Being an rude/obnoxious a-hole, or C:) “MIC SPAM”. So maybe you deserve it? Pretty much comes down to what other people think of you and not so much what you believe yourself to be.
Yesterday found out about the terminal’s and accessing them through Waypoint…did all 10 terminals and received cR for them, then went into Reach and played quite awhile last night. I finally quit playing and came into the other room to hop onto my computer, but 30 minutes later when I returned to the 360, it said I was credit banned? I don’t see how this is possible as I have done nothing wrong, at least to my knowledge. I do have a glitchy router that does affect games every now and then, but none to my knowledge yesterday… I’m just curious as to what I have done so apparently I can keep from doing it again…lol!

That guest controller you signed in to be idle. That will usually do the trick. That is boosting and has been bannable for awhile now.
I was banned for a 60 min test I did in FF doubles for starting a game killing a vehicle then quitting. There needs somewhere that lists all the possible bans. Other than those 60 mins of FF double my FF history is just about perfect. At least 100+ kills in every game. Will you guys lift the ban today? I am working toward Onyx for my last two FF commendations. I always follow your guys rules once I know what they are. Please.

I wanted to talk to someone in regards to a temporary ban for quitting to much? I received the temporary ban right around the Microsoft live update. I don’t know about anyone else, yet I tried to connect right after the update more then a few times. Got to match making then never got to play. The sever booted me before the game even started. I didn’t even quit, then just today. Due to a match making error, match making was aborted. I just finished a game, and didn’t even get a chance to do anything when this message was displayed, which resulted in another 10 mins. ITts just a pan in the -Yoink-, if you want to look into how many games I quit in the past, or anything like that to compare or to check my quits. So I can get this lifted? I really don’t know if this is possible. However Xbox live says takes it to the developers. Then give the bungie website. So I just came here instead and posted. If nothing can be done, can you inform me of how long this will take? I know two times today, it said I quit, when I never did.
To be fair, I did Y out of a few games when I was achievement hunting. However that would have been about 4 maybe 5 at most. They were living dead games mostly, so I wasn’t hurting a team, so that’s why I did it. There is one in there, when I forgot to log out my guest controller so I quit, so it didn’t look like I was boosting.

I am not trying to start a flame way (you and another poster have that under control) and I am only adding my two cents to what I see regarding your potential ban.
You do say your history is pretty spotless, you do have a lot of quits in your history just in the first couple pages. Now looking at these I can speculate on one of two things. You quit a lot since you do not like the map or who you are playing with. The only thing is you do not quit the same map over and over, you play them all pretty regularly. So there may be a legtimate reason, but as mentioned you have a lot of DNF in your FF history.
The other potential explanantion and I have seen many people do this before to avoid the AFK ban is dashboard out at the end of the game when it shows the credits on the bottom left of the screen but prior to going to the credit screen. This will register as a DNF, but the player still gets the credits.
I know when Bungie swept through on the AFK bans in April it got of people for doing the same thing. I am not saying you are doing this, but your history does look suspect from a certain point of view. AFKing for credits for you is pointless as you are an Iheritor already, the only reason would be to up you perfect rounds.
You just have to understand from a community point of view a lot of claims of innocence are made on the forums, but not always true, so those that may be honest get very little benefit of the doubt. The only suggestion I would make instead of resorting to flaming, truly state your case. But be careful with absolute statement like “my history is just about perfect” as you will be under a microscope at that point.
Again just my two cents, and I know my stats suck.
Thank you for the respectful post. I have all the DNF because the vehicle thing I was trying. Other than those 30 or so games I am clean. When I play I run into AFKers all night long, often the same people. I even have there names writen down. I just feel like 343 should think about banning people who deserve it. I have two get around 200 kills every game to get all 3 of my perfectionist comms. I sent a message to one of the employees asking if the method I tried was okay but never got a response. I tried it, 60 mins of FF and about 30 games which resulted in my second ban in three days, and I still don’t know what the one the other day was for. 343 could save a lot of time by making a document of the code the system uses. I wasn’t sure if that was boosting so I tried it.
I am at university and play halo reach. i have never to my recollection rage quit. hence my terrible k/d. i am at uni and have to bridge my connection via connectify yet every so often, despite an open nat and “good” bandwidth, i get dropped from matches. i am now banned everytime i drop and am very frustrated and to my awareness i am not lagging either. any way to either stop the bans or fix the dropping error? Okay, guess that’s somewhat understandable…any idea how long the ban will be for? Finding it pretty ridiculous to be banned for more than 24 hours (Which it has been) for something as simple as having an idle guest controller…lol!
