not kidding i have never talked or used a forum before
The hacker must have gotton you banned. There is nothing 343 can do about it.
> im not upset or anything i would like a ban removal but i hear its your fault no matter what the case?
Unless you can provide video proof of not cheating, AFKing, etc., the ban will stand. Fortunately, it’s only temporary, providing if this is your first offense.
Definitely should post this in the official “WHY I GET BANNED?” thread though. But welcome to Waypoint!
EDIT: Oops, that’s what happens when I don’t read the OP. I would also suggest contacting 343 (I wouldn’t know how though) and see if they can pull up a record of when your account was last accessed on what console (which sounds like a Microsoft ability)
my account is banned from halo 3 but i can still play reach i think
video proof? where? how?
im banned from halo 3 matchmaking account was hacked can i atleast know what it got banned for please
ok so i talked to a very nice lady from microsoft and she told me to post here my account was stolen and the person who stole it was punished hopefully
and she said its possible the ban can be removed is this true?
- You posted this three times earlier.
- The times you posted this earlier, you said your Halo 3 privileges were banned, not Halo: Reach, if so, you are once again in the wrong section.
- Your account is your responsibility, regardless of if it got hacked.
so if i get a dui i go to jail. but im i to stay in jail forever because it was my responibility to stay sober?
> so if i get a dui i go to jail. but im i to stay in jail forever because it was my responibility to stay sober?
Your ban won’t last forever. Unless you were perma-banned, that is. Please be patient and wait it out. Flooding the forums like this is not the way to go about this.
There is a thread for ban appeals use it.

Like the Waypoint team ever* reads that…
Man you guys need to adjust the ban system a little I AFk Guest boosted for acheivments right and my friend who helped me who has been baned before gets 1 day ban only! I my first offence get 2 weeks! Now i know i did wrong and I’m not saying I don’t deserve the ban I am saying he deserves more atleast! He does this stuff way more then me just those acheviments are so damn hard! So im wondering why you banned SelectedHunter for a day and me 2 weeks jerk laughs at me for getting banned so long…
OMFG, my issue right now is that I keep getting lagged out of games, and getting temp banned for it, Im not doing anything for thins to happen, its just today, I’ve been getting lagged out like crazy the last 24 hours, and I’ve reset the router, and tried to reset the connection, and with no good results, instead, my connection is having fun with letting me play for a few mins and then kicking me off and banning me, its just getting aggravating
Hi there to all users and welcome to Halo Waypoint forums!
> so what do i do wait for a moderator?
You may post exactly what your issue is so that we can help you!
> My son has been complaining that he has not been earning credits for his matchmaking play. I tried to find out why ans saw 2 messages. “This console has been temporarily banned from earning credits.” and “This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits.” How do I find out why there is a ban and how to get it removed?
I think that your son has AFKed! There is a ban as the message says and you don’t have to do anythning. It will be lifted in 2 days-2 weeks…It depends on how many times you have been banned/messed before!

If your account was stolen and this is proved from Microsoft then you can send a PM to any of the administrators here. They are the only ones that can help you. bs angel , Total Selout . Of course there are more but first try them. I’ve heard that Bungie lifted those kinds of bans!
Ok, so I was playing tonight with my girlfriend. She is pretty new to Halo Reach, and pretty much sucks at it. She doesn’t get a lot of kills. So, all of a sudden, during the middle of a game, both of us get a message that says that we are temporarily banned from earning credits. I have never done anything wrong in Halo reach. I am a decent/slightly above average player and should not be banned from earning credits. I just started playing Reach again so I could level myself up (started at Warrant Officer). Then I created an Xbox live account for my girlfriend so she could play games with me or when she is home by herself. She has never played an FPS and so she is not very good, sometimes ending up with 0 kills. However, I don’t believe that she should be banned for being bad at the game. And I shouldn’t be banned for being OK at the game. I am very annoyed and irritated about this. What should I do? Should I email 343i?

Take her into custom games for practice until she gets better. No kills on a team matched with other players expecting support, negatively impacts the experience of others. As such it is a cR ban.

So basically what you are saying is if you are bad at Reach, you will get banned. I understand how she got looped into this as it is a good system to pick out the AFKers, but when you are bad, but want to play with your friends, the system will then ban you?
I think they need to bring back Social Slayer where there are no ranks/you get no ranks for playing in it. That way it can be more noob-friendly.

There is no way that she was banned for not getting kills. The system can tell the difference between moving around and not getting kills, and AFKing. Finally, i post this which is from Total Selout as to when the ban applies.
> Bans are only handed out after a well documented digital case is built up by our backend system. If you are doing naughty things the banhammer will find you and it leaves an easy to read record.
>
> No. Like it says above, our automated system builds up a digital case of wrongdoing before any ban is enacted. If you accidentally disconnect a time or two you won’t get banned. Instead the system looks for patterns that can’t happen accidentally. If the banhammer detects enough wrongdoing, you were doing wrong. Case closed.
