i think the length of the ban depends on how many times u have been banned before or how severe the reason for the ban was. I have just finished a 1 week ban for achievement boosting for the new defiant last man standing achievement (which i still didn’t get because the condemned map option never came up).
My kids and I are playing Halo Reach. We all are currenlty banned from receiving credits. We are unsure why we were banned. I did however read about not being able to make any kills during the game, idle time and quiting games. Last night my son and his friend were playing as he had a sleep over, and my other son was at his friends playing the game aswell. I was not on after about 2am est., but my kids friend played under my gametag. Is there a way to remove the ban or can you tell me the length of this ban that is currently active on our xbox?
My sons friend was not very good at the game. I watched hime play for about 10-20 minutes and he killed 0 players in that time. I am somewhat new as well to Halo and I don’t kill that many when I play, but I do get some. My kids do have a habit of staying up late and falling asleep while playing. Not sure if any of these are the reason for the ban.
My gamertag is smallkid07 and my oldest sons is KINGBRUTE and my other sons is Princegrunt.
Just want to know how long the ban is going to last.
I was banned for having AFK guest I was not Cred boosting I swear it was to help get acheviments. Me and my friends are aiming to get all halo achievments. Any way my friend only got a day ban he was banned for 2 weeks before this is my first ban do you think it will be 2 weeks or 2 days?
I don’t know why I was banned if you could tell me why I would really appreciate it.
All I can think of is that my sisters where playing with me and where coming and playing for a min and then leaving then coming back.
hello! ok i was banned from halo 3 my gamertag is tactical187 on the account i am a brigadier grade 2 and i think my account was stolen. but i called microsoft and got it back. i also spoke to microsoft that i should contact bungie but you guys own this stuff now? dunno. im not the one to be accused of. my account was stolen, banned, recovered back in that order. and the account was created like in 09. hoping i can get some help with this issue thanx please reply
I would advise you to post this in the ‘WHY I GET BANNED’ topic, but whatever that ‘hacker’ did while he had your account was technically your fault, you didn’t secure your account.
Your account is your responsibility, it is 99% likely the ban will stand.

Actually I had a similar issue back in Halo 3 where my account was stolen and subsequently banned. After a few PM’s with Bungie staff all was well again. (To be fair though I don’t know if 343 will be so accommodating. I was very lucky.)

My son has been complaining that he has not been earning credits for his matchmaking play. I tried to find out why ans saw 2 messages. “This console has been temporarily banned from earning credits.” and “This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits.” How do I find out why there is a ban and how to get it removed?
I suggest you direct your question to the Official Why Did I Get Banned? thread. However, I will tell you that the odds of getting the temporary ban lifted are practically null. Good luck to you.
It means that a person goes into a game and doesn’t do anything.
They put the controller down and leave their spartan in the game.
At the end of each game the spartan will earn credits. So they can earn armor and ranks easier.
