It’s not permanent. He can log into his account 1-1-10,000. Can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year, than by playing 7,989 year old Reach.

Microsoft does a ban wave every year! Personally i don’t beleive it’s a round of bans! The Banhammer has always been there!

It’s different Halo Reach gives you a temporary credit ban if you deliberately or occasionally quit, even though you haven’t violated any of xbox live’s terms.Getting a temporary ban particularly from this game is like telling you “you have done something very very very bad, you have violated xbox live terms, and your xbox live identity is in Microsoft’s blacklist”. Very few other Xbox 360 games ban people for deliberately or occasionally quiting multiplayer or underperforming during multiplayer matches. I’ve seen the banhammer is 99.99…% accurate. That doesn’t tell us it’s 100% accurate.

Well you are wrong because the ban applies only on Halo: Reach! It’s not an Xbox LIVE ban, since you can normally access your account and sign in to it. So, indeed you didn’t violate the Code Of Conduct or the Terms Of Use, but you are also not banned from Xbox LIVE. Finally, it’s an automated system! You can never be sure it’s 100% accurate!
I have a question…How can I find out if my account is banned or not? I believe one of the profiles on my xbox console was banned…for Halo Reach. It says 2 things when (Maddog1442) signs in…the one is for the console saying there is a temporary ban for earning credits. the other says that this account has been banned…can someone let me know. I would assume this account is the one that is banned. Have you tried other account on this console? If your console is banned though I don’t believe you will earn credits even if another account is not banned.

Well if one of the accounts is banned from MM then the console, and so every other account on it, is also banned!

The account Maddong1442 is temporarily banned, and so is every other account on your console, and the console itself.
dude you deserve it just because of the mod but you still dont deserve a permanent ban because it was just a little mod but me i was like betrayed so i purchased this 2nd hand xbox360 expecting i would play live but when i tried to connect it said i was banned i still want to return that console but its too late.
I am playing HALO Reach and have had no problems until about 3 hours ago. Somehow My xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning credits. The only thing I could think happened is after I was killed from a teammate I said yes kick him from the game. This has happened in two different missions and after the 2nd one I was banned. Please fix this as immediately as you can. I really enjoy this game.
I got a temp console ban, it can last anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks. Mine was up in 24 hours, which is usual for a first offense.

No, you weren’t banned for kicking guys from the game…You were banned because you AFKed!

Received a credit ban yesterday evening. We were playing with a group on SWAT matchmaking, a friend who had never played on Reach was on a friend’s alternate account.
Three of us were playing on the same console.
Since she is new, she spent a lot of the game ‘hiding’ and not getting any kills, but wanted to be included in the evening.
Have played Reach since it was released, as had two of my friends, and hadn’t heard about the ‘AFK’ rule.
I’m assuming this is the issue on why we all got banned.
I’d mainly like to know from someone how long this ban is going to last; we were not doing anything malicious or cheating in any way.
It is the first time the console itself, and each account as been credit banned.
