What do the Bungie forums have to do with 343 now? Perma-bans from the Banhammer have always been in place. Maybe 343 turned their Banhammer on for the first time today?

Permanent = Permanent = forever
If it was a 24 hour - 2 week ban it would have said temporarily banned and not permanent.

For a Permanent Ban. Its Forever, the only way to dodge this to get back on the Halo games is to acquire a new console and a New xbox live account.
Guys…he didn’t say he got a permanent ban if i am not mistaken…he asked how long is his ban…and since he AFKed it is not permanent…that’s what i am saying

Ok well than it that case it’s 24 hours - 2 weeks. No one will be able to tell you exactly how long just gotta wait it out and check back every day to see if you can earn again. Just be happy it’s not permanent like a lot of other players today.

AFK bans are almost always 2 weeks since May. Enjoy.
