If i realized that correclty you are telling that you can’t communicate with others through mic. So, this is only in Halo or in other games too?
You know what, I have yet to test my mic with any other game. I don’t even know if I have any other games that utilize a headset.
Regardless, I do think that its a bit odd that those symbols- the ones that show up if you explicitly mute an individual, show up on every player’s account. Can’t send them messages or anything.

Ok, what you have to do is to pm Total Sellout and explain him what happens! He will make it work! Anyway mute bans are really complicated and useless!! I mean, if someone is annoying i will mute him!!! I don’t want anyone deciding for me!

But first, check out if it is an Xbox LIVE mute ban by checking your mic in other games!

You have never seen those clips on YouTube were the spawn system has a derp moment and puts you next to a team mate in danger?
I only ever have one clip in my File Share of a spawn kill and that doesn’t even show the guy spawning and it’s me killing him, it’s on Ascension, shortly after Reach came out, heck I rendered it to.
OK admitted noob here. I just got on Live for the first time a couple of days ago. I have not been banned, and I’m going to try not to be. I can get the general etiquette, but I may not always get the acronyms. Can someone please post a link for some general guidelines so I don’t make a total -Yoink- of myself? Please note, that while I’m not a senior citizen I suspect I’m older tan a lot of you, so I would value any patience from the experienced folks. Thanks.

Basically it just takes common sense. If it feels like you’re doing something wrong, then you probably are…

It’s never bad to ensure stuff. If it gets you tired then don’t try it! And of course mute bans do not apply to parties so this is not a proof!

I understand why I was Cr banned, but it was supposed to only be temporary. I received the ban around 2 or 3 PM thursday, and it is now 4:30 on sunday. Just how long is this “temporary” ban for?

Well, the bans can last up to 2 weeks, so wait a little more…it is propably normal.
