I know I’m not alone here and you may or may not agree with me, but this ban was absolutely unjust even for as short-lived as it was. Halo Reach and I have a love/hate relationship. I just don’t want to see it end.

I am pretty sure that he isn’t as in his game history he has played matches after the whole thing and he is saying that load failures shouldn’t count as quits, and so someone shouldn’t get banned for not being able to load a map. That is the point i get.
i think u all banned me for a bull crap reason and u should lift it… u ban me sayin im boostin and im not… my gf is new to the game and dont know wat shes doing and u all banned both of us for 2 weeks… im not boosting off my gf shes learning to play… u all let people use mod controllers and mods and dont ban them at all and u make a false ban again and im getting real sick of it.

Well, i bet that your gf’s GT is Dontbeahater77, she has played from your conslole and with a very very quick search i’ve found
Seriously, you guys need to update the ban hammer of the matchmaking playlists because in firefight all I get matched up with are people who constantly shoot at me and I can’t do anything. If you want to update and fix reach, fix the banhammer and fix the booting playlists!

But you see that constant shooting with rockets and fuel rods is annoying? The same will happen in MM if they turn off friendly fire. Also, your Wraith will be destroyed by a teammate and you won’t be able to do anything.

This is why I rarely play FF MM and just stick to Double FF with a buddy or Score Attack
No, I am not currently banned. Like I said in my post, the ban itself was short-lived. I was just frustrated as to how it happened and I guess you can’t do much else for me. I appreciate the hasty reply though. Snikefriend is also right on the money except that I’m a “she.” Also to answer his question, I haven’t tried a custom game so I am not sure. It seems to be working fine as of right now. I guess if I encountered the same problem again in the future, I just didn’t want to see the same result. Thanks again for your time and consideration.

BS Angel, does 343i intend to implement an intelligent betrayal detection? For example, if a person has a sniper and a teammate kills him and then takes the sniper, and there are no enemies around, the system should be able to detect that rather easily in a straight forward way and immediately boot and ban the betrayer. Can we expect to see this sort of intelligent refereeing by the system any time soon?

So what happens if I accidentally throw a grenade and betray the dude with the sniper not knowing he has the rifle. I see it afterwards and pick it up. I get booted and banned.
i agree i just started playing with my girlfriend, she who has only picked up an xbox controller 6 times in her life is playing with me a guy who is on almost daily. so she is running with the big dogs and some times gets a kill or two but more often than not ends up with zero. She doesn’t idle and we we don’t break the rules. we love the thrill of the hunt and like to play the game. The the blanking ban hammer comes and says that both of our accounts and my console are banned from earning credits for no good reason. The best i could think of is she is not as good as i am and it looked lop sided, but really? get real guys find the real cheaters not the people who are playing the game for the fun of it. There are tons of legends and nobles that you can tell only have the credits to be there by playing the system. if my girlfriend can kill and tbag them, then there’s a problem.

Why is it that we have to live in fear of the “ban hammer” even the ones who do no wrong like myself? i have been banned twice for playing with a person who has never played xbox. Is it my fault the system she owns is older than her? Yet you do not have to provide an ounce of proof. you don’t say what was wrong, i would like to know this way i could correct the problem and better the game for us all. BUT no you just ban at will and never say why. So without proof or reason the behavior will continue ruining it for all of us. and for some reason the worst offenders tend to escape the worst of it all. maybe you should reevaluate your method of operations. your whole god complex, we’re never wrong thing is flawed from the start. so is that really how you want new players like my girlfriend to begin and potentially end their halo experience… this used to be a great place… used to.
I got banned from Halo 3 matchmaking and not Xbox LIVE. I have no idea why this happened it. This happened in the middle of a game. This incident happened on Sept. 29 2011 at 7:30 PM

The reason this thread is so great yet not is b/c it provides you with the way to find out if you’re a true accused or not. Once I started checking game histories of people, the reasons for the bans became prevalent.
It’s not being nasty but for players who aren’t that great or wind up AFK’ing a lot - this is what custom games and everything else is for.
I think the main point of this thread is, if you know someone is not that great or good at all…maybe you shouldn’t start them on matchmaking. Just a suggestion.
