First of all, who told you that 0 kills count as AFK? The system can tell the difference between moving around without getting killed, and AFKing…Simply…AFKing is when you get spawned killed. Obviously…she was not moving at all and she was away. Obviously he didn’t let her be because if he did he would have so many kills against her. And if she wanted to learn, she could do it perfectly offline, or online in custom games! Not in Matchmaking. Also, stop blaming 343, it’s Bungie’s system!

Ok, Here’s the situation. Me and some buddies where playing on multiplayer matchmaking in Halo Reach, We were all doing Pit matches and all of the sudden I get a credit ban. This is the second time and I have no idea as to why. The first time I got credit banned was cause my son and I were playing matchmaking on the same console and my son got in trouble and had to get off of the game so his character went AFK. This time me my wife and a bunch of our friends were all on playing and the banhammer bit my console and I have no idea why. My wife isn’t much of a gamer and I dont do too well either so if its cause we had some rounds with 0 kills then this seems very unfair. My wife couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn if she wanted to. If its cause of sucuides then that seems unfair as I have a tendency to run over my own grenades while running around in multiplayer matchmaking… I dont do it on purpose. I’m just not the greatest player in the world. Please help. I feel that it was unjust. PLEASE HELP!

Well, i see too much lying here. First of all, for what you say about your son! You can’t get banned for AFKing in 1 match. So, if your son was in trouble and had to live, why didn’t you sign him out? In addition, it’s a bit difficult to suicide with a greenade because to throw a grenade you have to see an enemy…this enemy 90% of the time will shoot at you, so if you go into your greenade, technically it is not counted as suicide. Also, the game can tell the difference between moving and not getting kills, and AFKing. But i would be glad to check your game history and figure out what happened. But you should tell me if you and your wife were in the same console. In addition, your wife has a different gamertag or she was a guest? If she had a gamertag and played from the same console, give it to me.

My gamertag is SoldierDruid, My wifes is Precious418, my son’s is AvatarNut. We only have one XBOX in the house so we are always on the same console. I’m a noob. I didn’t know you could get banned for afking or anything for that matter. I didn’t sign him out due to the fact that we were on the same team also I didn’t know that you could leave a match when playing on the same console.

Well i didn’t say to sign him out immediately, but in the next game. You won’t get banned for AFKing 1 time. Anyways, the Gamertag Precious418 has done a lot of AFKing and he is banned. Also the other Gamertags you mentioned are banned, because if one is banned, the rest of the Gamertags playing in the same console are also banned in order to discourage people from swapping gamertags and “overtake” the ban.

That’s b/c most people know how to play a shooter online. So, she stands in one spot, looks around and moves to the other spot and repeats that?
That’s not playing, that’s lightly idling. The point of the match is to shoot/kill/dispose of the other team while trying to not do so yourself - Not standing around, more or less, enjoying the scenery while surviving. That’s not playing the game at all. Of course it’s unfair to everyone else! Especially on her team! She’s obviously an easy target and should know how to play the game instead of YOU technically playing for two controllers majority of the time.
What whoever is playing needs to do is stop playing public matchmaking with the girl either learning how to play a simple point and shoot game to sticking to custom games.
There shouldn’t be a Customer Support for this b/c pretty much everyone knows how to play a TDM Shooter since before the year 2000.

In Theater Mode you can see it. But it’s also obvious from her gaming history. She has 5-8 kills and suddenly 0? She is surely AFK…
