The automated banhammer considers games with no kills as AFC/AFKing (Away from controller/Idling) and will treat them as incomplete games or DNF/Did Not Finish. The automated banhammer likely thought you were cR boosting via idling due to alot of games with 0 kills and hence issued the ban. If it is your first cR ban, I think 24-48 hours is the duration, though I am not sure.

It is possible that said player may have tricked the banhammer into thinking you did something wrong despite leaving the game. If the ban is not lifted by then, then the ban was the result of being in the modded game and since you left as you should have, and didn’t violate Code of Conduct hence, at that point, I would recommend you reaching out to Grimbrother One on Twitter on the matter, as you took the right actions and are not then deserving of a ban.
I disconnected from only one game since the ban and that was last night in a game of slayer and I never idle guests cause I didnt want to get banned for that, I only knew about that one cause one of my friends did it. It’ll be one week tomorrow night (2/5/17) at about 9:30pm central time so should I contact him after that or wait another week?

Wait a week and if it isn’t lifted, contact Grimbrother One via Twitter. You did what you were supposed to do, so you shouldn’t have any ban from the modded game as you left when you seen it for what it was, and hence upheld your agreement to Code of Conduct.
So apparently I was temporarily banned from earning credits. And it says here that it was from credit boosting.
but I never did anything like that. What counts as “boosting”?

Boosting is essentially exploiting a poor game aspect/mechanic setup, network connection, glitch, or bug in a fashion that was not intended that would allow you to have benefit in a quick fashion on some game aspect (In Reach, cR, K/D Ratio, Commedation status) that by normal gameplay would take alot longer to accomplish/achieve.
Examples of Boosting in Reach would include:
Using Network Manipulation to reset challenges to get more credits - Setting up a ‘Boosting Party’ to allow unlocking of achievements and not actually earning them - Intentionally making Grifball last longer through ‘Peace Games’ to exploit the Performance Bonus system and maximize the cR payout on that - Spawncampkilling to ‘statpad’ (Boost k/d ratio), boost cR, and boost commedations in Objective Based gametypes. - Idling in games just to earn cR - Exploiting poor game setup/glitches to quickly get additional cR and commedation progress(The Target Locator boosting method on ONI Sword Base in the Campaign, which is now patched from what I understand is a good example)Edit: In your Reach game history, good game example: https://haloreachstats.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/bng%20forerunner/haloreach/gamehistory#/?game=1473842878§ion=Unknown . You have 52 kills alone, your team combined total 119 kills. The opposing team only got 1 kill, one guy died 101 times? Sure you weren’t spawncampkilling or having ‘Peace Games’?
i suppose so. however i will say that most of the time the other players will try to spawnkill me and my teams. its either us or them. and its not like i can leave or i get matchmaking banned. especially when its them spawnkilling. if you leave, your banned. kinda unfair if you ask me, so there for i will give back what you tried to do to me.

It’s the way the banhammer is setup, I don’t make the rules. I simply have a good understanding of them. If they do it to you, you know you can use the features provided by Xbox LIVE to report them for essentially cheating (As boosting is a form of cheating), and if you wanted to take it a step further, submit a player review, avoiding players that do so, Unsporting Conduct being the reason. If they are on Xbox One and have a negative review submitted, it will affect their reputation, and if lowered enough, they will only get stuck with other people who have low reputation and likely do the same stuff.

Good morning.
If this relates to a ban related instance, you are going to have to be more specific on your case, not to mention a little bit more constructive.
Hope that helps and have a nice day now.

Looking through your game history, you actually earned your ban through your own actions.
In the last month, you have at least 15 games you did not finish, 12 of them being games with 0 Kills. The automated banhammer keeps track of incompleted games and either once a threshold is reached; or if you quit too many within a short duration, the automated banhammer will issue a ban. Also games with 0 Kills are also considered DNF/Did Not Finish/Incomplete.
You earned your ban for not completing your games and either being booted from them for betraying/team killing or leaving them early. Do not blame the Halo Community for your ban when it was your actions, not theirs that caused your ban.

Hi my account has been permenantly banned and i’d like to know why… I don’t have a clue as to why it has been banned as I havent played the game online on this account In over 2 years I believe.
Please do not give me information on lagging out, being afk etc. Just the real reason and if it can be lifted or not. Thanks
So where do I get information on my ban, I am positive I didn’t do anything wrong but if I did I would like to know what it was so it doesn’t happen again.

Good afternoon.
Going through your Halo Reach game history, you were issued a bun due to having multiple games within a short duration (One week) with 0 kills and for participating in ‘Peace Games’ in Grifball. The automated banhammer considers any game with 0 Kills as idling/AFCing/AFKing (Away from Controller) and hence considered DNF/Did not Finish. By either hitting a threshold in the number of DNF games you have; or having a lot of DNF games within a short duration, the automated banhammer will issue a ban.
Additionally, you were also banned for performing multiple ‘Peace Games’ in Grifball. Participating in ‘Peace Games’ in Grifball to maximize the Performance Bonus cR payout is not the way Grifball was meant to be utilized by 343i and Bungie, and hence you are exploiting it and boosting your cR in doing so, which is cheating, and hence is against LIVE Code of Conduct. It also intentionally degrades the gameplay quality for others via Griefing, which is also against LIVE Code of Conduct. You have many many Grifball games where people have a couple of kills and the game lasted 14-20+ minutes, clear indicator of peace games. Also in some of those games, one or two people were killed 30+ times, which is another indicator.
You were likely reported by many people who didn’t want to perform in the ‘Peace Games’ you were in. Those people woudl have rightfully used LIVE’s Submit a Report feature and reported you for Cheating. Play Grifball the way it was meant to be played, scoring the objective, not sitting around to maximize a cR Bonus, or Spawncampkilling. That and make sure you get at least one kill per game and play your games out completely, and you shouldn’t get any future bans.

Under normal circustances, it would be 24-48 hours. However, if your ban came from people reporting you, it could be longer.

> I still would like to know why I was banned. Hello is this thing on.
Good morning.
Looking at your Halo: Reach Game History, that aspect is near immaculate. Only two games with 0 kills and you consistently play out your games. However, I found something else. You ban was issued for modding your player four letter/number service tag to something other than a letter, number, or space. | showing up as your service tag is a clear indicator of that. This action violates Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct and your ban will not be reversible if it is a permanent ban.
My xbox 360 console was banned permanently, i was playing yesterday and all was fine, today in the morning it only shows a message that says “This console has been banned permanently from halo reach online” and i don’t know what was the reason, i have spend money in this game and i’m so dissapointed. can you help me?

Good afternoon.
I looked through your Halo: Reach game history, and i found one questionable instance. Do you own the Anniversary Map Pack or have played it with a friend on another Xbox? I am asking as I noticed save one game, all your game history is the base game, and pretty immaculate as well. If you do not own it and have not played it with a friend on another Xbox, this would explain your ban, as you played in a modded lobby, allowing you to access DLC maps without owning the DLC on your Xbox (In this case, Battle Canyon), which would clearly violate LIVE Code of Conduct.
If you have played on another Xbox with that friend, you may want to ask your friend what he or she is doing on their Xbox, as they could’ve modded on their Xbox and earned a Console and Profile Ban, which could’ve affected your account as well due to your profile also being on their Xbox.
If the above is completely no, then the only other ways you could’ve been earned a permanent ban from just Halo: Reach based upon your immaculate gaming history was modding an aspect of Reach that is not viewable here on the Website (Examples include Modding to change, nameplates, cR you have to use, armor you are not wearing, unlock Eternal Armor effect, or change an aspect of the game not viewable on the site here), used Network Manipulation to reset Daily or weekly challenges, or used network manipulation via lagswitch to give yourself an advantage in Matchmaking.
I just got a permanent ban on file share, I was trying to do the “clip it.Share it” daily challenge it wouldn’t upload tried it another two time and bang BAN, Very unfair never cheated in my life, Hopefully the right person sees this and sorts it out,If possible?
