thanks for the reply, and yeah there were a number of games that my internet was having issues and kept turning off thus disconnecting me from the game. I didn’t use it to reset challenges though, I do recall using a guest account for firefight simply because whenever i matched someone in firefight the game became unbearably laggy and unplayable so using the guest account aloud me to play a game without having to search for anyone, didn’t think that would be a problem though. To my knowledge i think the console ban is a result of me already having multiple profile cr bans in the past, but I’m still not certain.
Thanks again
P.S do you know how long these bans will last for?
So what if you have to leave a game in progress to join your spartan companie’s training session and you do that every week would you still get banned from playing for a certain amount of time?

Good afternoon.
Generally speaking for Halo Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 5, leaving a Matchmaking game is considered a DNF (Did not Finish) and the automated banhammer system keeps track of that. Once a certain threshold ratio is reached or if too many matchmaking games are simply left in a short duration, the banhammer will strike. Best not to play roulette with the banhammer.
Custom games are different, as they are custom. Leaving them will have no negative impact on you. Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Are you either playing on LIVE silver or offline altogether? If so, this is why you are receiving very little cR. It is not a cR ban, it’s a balance system created by Bungie to prevent ill-legit methods of boosting or modding cR and Rank. Get yourself some LIVE Gold and reap the rewards .

I created another profile and played Halo:Reach. This profile does not have Xbox Live but it is getting the normal cRs. My original profile (which never got a banned notification) is still only getting 50 cRs. Why is this happening?

If you are playing offline with a higher ranking account (Your Spartan has a higher rank), you will recieve less cR. It was a balance system put in place by Bungie to prevent boosting and modding of cR. Also, very odd waypoint glitch, sorry about that. As I said the first time, get yourself some LIVE Gold and reap the rewards! Hope that helps and have a nice day now.

I now have Gold membership and I’m still only getting 50cRs. Why? I haven’t gotten a ban notice or anything. I don’t understand what is going on. I tried to get into a group/clan and they said no because of my rank. I can’t rank up. Please help.

Hmm, this sound slike your Reach profile may have been glitched out then. What I can recommend you to do then is reach out to Grim Brother One or Frankie on Twitter, send them the link to this thread and explain whta has happened so they can have a support team look into your case. This is a very unique case, as I have never heard of a Gold Account on Reach being treated like a Silver Account before.

Is there another way to contact either of them? I don’t use twitter.

You can try through Waypoint here, but I am not sure you will get a response. You could also have a Monitor you trust or a Community Engineer, such as Cizlin further help out with your case to try to get a hold of one of them.

Good afternoon.
I have taken a look through your Halo Reach stats, and I see nothing within your stats that would suggest that you earned yourself a permanent ban, such as modding your Reach Profile. I am seeing alot of games you have no kills in/left from early (Did Not Finish/DNF) though, but that would only lead to a temporary ban. You also play a variety of gametypes, so you weren’t banned due to doing anything you shouldn’t have repeatedly in Grifball.
Did you use network manipulation to reset challenges or to intentionally lag out games repeatedly for personal gain (lagswitching), play with a player in Matchmaking who was modding, or try to use a mod yourself? Any of these actions would earn you a permaban from Reach. Without more information, there really isn’t much that can be done for you.
I wasn’t banned but de-ranked
I had an old account and was Captain Grade 1 or 2 (I played split screen multiplayer on my friends account because i didn’t have my own xbox at the time), and then when i got my own xbox and downloaded my profile to play reach, i had been demoted all the down to Sargent. Can anyone please explain?
Here’s the old accounts GT: Knurtaburt

Good afternoon.
I have to ask a question. Was this the first time you logged onto Halo: Reach with LIVE Gold and tried playing matchmaking? If so, this is normal and was a system created by Bungie to prevent people from using ill-legit methods to max their rank out offline then log online and have the change saved. Basically the first time you go onto Matchmaking with LIVE Gold on Reach, you will be asked to forfeit cR. This is the balancing aspect via programming Bungie created and it should happen only once.
If it was not, a de-rank would have come from using network manipulation to either reset challenges or to lag out games via lag-switching for personal gain, both of which violate LIVE Code of Conduct. When the banhammer picks up on this action, partial or complete de-rank is one of the potential punishments for essentially cheating in this fashion, where it takes back the cR that was not truely earned, or simply resets the player.
Based upon what I was able to gather from your Halo: Reach history from your account, you recieved a ban from consistently not finishing your games. I am seeing alot of games in your game history where you have 0 kills or you did not finish. The automated banhammer will consider a completed game with no kills as AFC/AFK (Away from Controller/Idling), and you have an elevated case here of that. Incompleted Games (DNF/Did Not finish) will also be tracked by the banhammer. So as a result of these factors, the automated banhammer probably thought you were boosting from idling in a lot of games and issued a ban.

Yes it would have been the first time logging in on Gold. Thanks for clearing that up
