Good afternoon.
First of all, it is against the Halo Waypoint forum rules to call out other members. You may want to remove said player’s tag. Secondly looking through said person’s Halo related game history, they have none in Halo Reach, Halo 4, or Halo 5. The only Halo game they have played based upon their Halo history is Halo Wars, and even in that, said player has 0 gamerscore from that.
I also looked through your Halo Reach game history and within the last week, you did not finish at least 10 of your games of your 59 matchaking games, four of them having 0 kills and one game even having -1 kills. You essentially quit one of every six games you played in the last week. The automated banhammer keeps track of all your games you did not finish, which conditions include leaving, being booted for unsporting conduct, being lagged out, and getting 0 kills (As that is considered AFking/Idling) and will issue a ban if you hit a percentage threshold, or simply quit too many in a short duration.
Based upon this, I would honestly say your actions is what earned you your cR Ban, though it should’ve been temporary based upon that, in which consistently completing games would resolve that from happening again. Are you sure you weren’t using lagswitches, creating network manipulation to gain an ingame advantage or using network manipulation to reset daily challenges? That would earn you a permanent cR ban.
If said player did indeed hack your account into being cR banned, I have to ask, did you give said player your password? Alot of cases where people proclaim a player hacked their game, the person usually admits later they gave the ‘hacker’ their password. If so LIVE Code of Conduct would still make you responsible for all actions on your account.
If not, and you are indeed certain said player was playing Reach, then I would suggest using the LIVE Report feature by going through your players met history, finding his account, selecting it, using the Report button, and having Tampering being the reason. I hate to say it, but based upon the evidence I see from achievements and game history, the reason of the ban points to you, not the other player. So, if you want to continue playing Reach to earn cR, then you’re going to have to create a new LIVE profile. Hope this helps and have a nice day now.
Why the heck did Shepard halo get banned???

Long story short looking through his matchmaking history, good handful of incompleted matchmaking games, including a decent amount of games with 0 kills. From 11/01/16 to today, at least nine non-completed games, 4 with no kills.

Hmm
Its very easy to get banned

Actually it is harder than you think if you play the game properly, simply:
So, I seem to be having a few issues regarding the temporary matchmaking bans here recently, and I just wanted to drop by for some clarification. Just recently got back into Halo Reach due to the changes made to the backwards compatibility feature (so much better than it was before), but I’ve noticed over the last two or so days I’ve been getting temporarily banned from matchmaking.
Now, according to the post from lizking, “peace games” of Grifball are a no-no, so fair enough, I’ll keep my nose clean and stay out of Grifball. The main problem I had was with my most recent ban which hit me just a little while ago and I waited out. When I booted up Reach, I saw where once again the message came up and said if I leave any more matches I will be temporarily banned. I said to myself, alright I’ll just play some Firefight and complete some of the challenges. I completed the game of Firefight, got my credits, backed out of the menu to find a different team, and boom, I’ve been banned. Could someone explain why I got banned even though I didn’t leave the match?
For full disclosure, I will admit that there were some problems during the match. There was lots of lag and stuttering at times, and all 4 players were red bar. Towards the very end of the match the game completely stopped for a moment and the other 3 players left. Since there was only about 3 or so minutes left on the clock I decided to just finish the game. Was my ban because of this? There’s no foul-play involved, I can assure you I don’t know the first thing about network-manipulation or purposefully lagging people, I just figured it was the typical internet issues that people sometimes have on this game (though I’m gonna reset my router just to be sure). And I’m just coming here confused because again, I completed the game just fine, but was still banned for a moment. So, I’m just trying to get some answers and avoid doing anything wrong. Any information is appreciated and I thank you for your time.

Good morning.
From the way it sounds, you were lagged out of the game away from the other three players and put into your own game. This is a connection issue, and even though you were put into your own game, it wasn’t the game that the matchmaking system loaded up. Due to this, the game would be counted as a DNF, even if your game history states otherwise. In other words, network/connection error caused your ban in the sense that the DNF from it was enough to trigger the banhammer.
It is rare for this to happen, but it can happen. It happened in several firefight games Cizlin and I were in. He doesn’t have the best connection and on several occasions, he was lagged out and put into his own game. One instance playing Reach Firefight with him on Installation 04, I was lagged out of his game away from him and two random people and put into my own. It usually happens with one player, but in extremely rare cases, it can split a part of four up into two games of two. This happened in a Firefight instance on Installation 04 (As you can tell, it’s a fun map) with s452, Cizlin, a random and I. The random and Cizlin was lagged out and put into their own game and s4 and I stayed in our own.
Your case falls into the 1% where your ban legitimately is not your fault, so I would recommend if you have a Twitter account reach out to Grimbrother One or Frankie regarding the matter with a link to this thread with your post and mine and see if your ban can be reversed due to it not being your fault as you can’t argue with an automated system, but do have the means to prove your ban was unjustified.
I hope this helps and have a nice day now.

If you are inferring to your post, I’m going to have to assume it was due to not being related to a Halo: Reach or for that matter any Halo related ban. I can’t confirm that is the case, but it likely is, so I’m going to recommend you take that up with a Monitor. ProximateXbox, Sarcasmbully, or stckrboy would be good monitors to ask in a Private Message as they explain in detail why a forum ban has been issued, how it reflects and violates forum rules down to the nitty-gritty, and are pretty nice about it.
Hope that helps and have a nice day now.
I’ve been temporarily banned from earning cR on my account and console,
well this is my first time getting cR banned but how long does it usually last?
Got my account and console banned temporarily from earning credits in halo reach, this isn’t the first time and if i remember correctly the last couple of times it happened it got dragged out to a month. Just wondering how long it will last for this time. Once again I think I just reached the daily limit of cr. Can someone help out?

Good morning.
I looked through your Halo Reach Game History, and found within the last week, you did not finish seven of your games, one of which had 0 kills, so you quit a game a day in essence. However, this seems very unlikely to be the cause a Console related ban whether it be temporarily or permanent.
Now I know using network manipulation to reset challenges can cause a ban as such to happen, did you do that? I also see alot of Firefight games. The full gamestats to those games will not load, however, I want to ask, you you have any guest accounts signed in during those games idling with 0 kills? If you did with any number of guest accounts, this would explain the Console and Profile cR ban, as idling with guest accounts (or having guests play who cannot get a single kill) as well as 0 kills still affects the main account they are linked to. So if you had a guest account in idling through Matchmaking firefight games with no kills, your account still gets the penalty.
There is a reason why you recieved a Console ban, so missing a couple of games with you having kills would not do that on it’s own.
Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Good morning.
I also took a look through your Halo: Reach game History, and your case is more simplistic. Within the last week, you did not finish 12 of your games, all of them having 0 kills. The automated banhammer keeps track of all games you did not finish, and will also consider any games, finished or not with 0 kills as a DNF due to it thinking you idled. Looking back before that, you have a good handful of games you did not finish. It sounds like the combination of DNFed games combined with 0 kills made the banhammer think you were idling through games, boosting cR you did not earn, hence the Console and Profile ban, even though you simply just didn’t finish games.
Basically in the future, play all your matchmaking games out beginning to end and get at least one kill to prevent this from happening again in the future.
Hope that helps and have a nice day now.
