Having 0 kills once a game ends makes the automated banhammer thing that you were idling/AFKing, even if you left the game prematurely. Regardless, the Automated banhammer keeps track of your Incomplete/Idled/0 Kill games and once you hit a threshold, or quit a lot of games in a short duration, the banhammer will issue a type of ban…

> That’s weird I don’t recall quitting that much; a few times due to bad connection but I don’t remember anything besides that. But why wait so long to give a ban if that was the case? I was doing nothing wrong on the day of the ban. And I never have been AFK in any games I’ve played except maybe in a few custom games, does being AFK in a custom game count? I just looked and checked my game history and I have not quitted any of those firefight games, why does it say I did? I am very confused now.
I think Reach is starting to get buggy from either people doing things they shouldn’t be doing in matchmaking (Modding, lagswitching, etc), a bad internet connection, or simply the fact the game is old. Why it said you did not finish 14 games if you didn’t is beyond me. Perhaps Reach is having issues logging finalized games or is finalizing a game score logging prematurely, which could be causing said issue.
As for AFK ordeal, what I explained is the Banhammer treats 0 kills in any matchmaking game, completed or not, as a game a player was AFK and will be treated as a DNF due to it. So if you finish a matchmaking games with 0 kills, the Banhammer will treat that game as if you AFKed. Custom games is different. You can leave, join, AFK, etc in a custom game without worry as that will not count against you in a custom game.
As for Firefight games, I didn’t look at those, I looked at your other matchmaking games, such as team slayer, Slayer, Infection, King of the Hill, etc. if that helps and that is the results it gave me.
As for the delayed ban, Reach and Halo 4 have been known to do that as the Banhammer for some odd reason sometimes needs time to catch up on the logged games. Halo 5’s however (Dedicated servers or better code perhaps?) does not from what I understand.
